Not to mention the question of how exactly they are going to attack Britain. How are they going to suddenly turn up with soldiers and weaponry? Rafts across the North Sea? I know they like to blather about nuclear weapons, but I doubt even they are suggesting an action that would see every single Russian city of any size turn into nuclear wastelands after the UK immediately launches all their nukes in response.

I live in the UK and spent 29 years in the military, I think all those who decided to leave when the war started are disgracing the flag and the hundreds and thousands of men and women including the thousands of foreigners who have died or wounded on the battlefield fighting the Russian hoards for the many who ran away here to the UK on the pretense "we have a young family to look after" they are here safe and settled now it's time for the men to return home to do their duty, I hope my government helps find these men and persuade them to retune as in the long run it's in their own interest as no one will like being called a COWARD for the rest of their life.

Even though I am an American veteran, I can understand why some Americans chose to flee to Canada to avoid being sent to Vietnam. However, were the United States to be invaded, it would be unforgivable, and those doing so would be unworthy of citizenship or any benefits that come with it.

Hi. Canadian here. canada offered asylum to slaves and then to whoever wanted to escape, so for whatever reason.but back to Vietnam war, I think the the gouvernement, like now, failed to explane to americans that , like today in Ukraine or tomorrow in Taiwan, or in the past in Korea, Americans fought for their country , for the rule of law in the world that tends to benefit USA as somehow in charge of the currency..Russia, urss, China Iran, want to expand as 17th century empire and do not to get rich like any other country by working in the global economy, Their past empires like their regimes now, are based on kleptocracy , stealing and pillaging other nations around. Democracy, Capitalism, us , can be al messy. But make no mistake, you have a degree of liberty and national wealth that you can partake in, like in none of the autocracies that challenge the world worder, unless u are putin Xi , Lukashenka etc

As frustrating as this may seem to outsiders? It's up to Ukraine to decide the number and composition of their armed forces. (In the West, we would drafting much younger soldiers. But it is Ukraine fighting for its own survival and those judgments are strictly theirs to make). Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦

I think the age restriction is a good idea. Ukraine still has that pool of younger guys if they must. But they are also trying to ensure Ukraine has a future not only in terms of existence, but in terms of mind, culture and spirit. It is good if Ukrainian young men have 5 seconds of adult life before being sent to war, a small window to develop some experiences and personality not entirely framed by the trenches. They may end up needing them, but it is good for the state to try to preserve that.

@@eliannafreely5725 Are you aware of Ukrainian demographics? There is 3 male of age 40 per one male age 20. Ukraine is not a fairytale country. A lot of men left Ukraine in age 16-17 and they not in Ukraine any more. They now draft dodgers! Nobody can tell how many men left on occupied territories or left to Russia or other non EU countries. Anybody can tell how many people in Ukraine left at all? Anyways, thanks for explaining how somebody else should spend their 5 seconds of adult life before being sent to war.

problem is if you throw enough ressources to a problem,humans, even in that concentration camp, will get u something. Look at the missiles that they gave to putler, nuclear program. Ukrainian men should do the honorable duty and return to fight for their country. Stop hiding out in foreign lands and protect your own. Other countries should not provide them with a path to citizenship and Ukraine should not provide them with any social, educational or medical assistance. There are many different functions involved in military service they can be involved in.

I agree with you. There are tens of thousands of Ukrainian men and women who volunteered for the army. They chose to protect their country from invasion, to keep their freedoms, language and religion. Those that fled are cowards. They should be stripped of their citizenship and never allowed back into Ukraine once the war is over. Great reporting TVP and Benjamin.

Ukraine has been invaded since 10 yrs ago not 2 yrs ago, why Ukraine didn't normalize draft and combat personal rotation 2 yrs into the brutal war? If Ukrainian Gov. had done these + mandatory basic military training like Israel since 2014, the man power shortage would be much better. Evade from draft is illegal, immoral and coward when one's country is at war. BTW, i don't see why let large amount of people leave the country in the beginning of the full scale invasion, Ukrainian gov. and international community can help them to settle in the west Ukraine. Ukraine needs man power to run war economy. Women can even work in weapon industry. I've started to see more and more problems in management and policies making of Ukr. gov. Ukrainian soldiers and people deserve better leadership.

By the way, when Russia invaded, Kiev said military age men were not allowed to leave Ukraine so why weren’t they stopped at the border and not allowed to exit?😊

Considering the mass malnutrition in North Korea it would have been better that these tractors were working the fields by pulling ploughs, spreading seeds and gathering crops, but what a surprise. I did not notice a converted ice cream van. See Kim Jong Fat on his throne reminded me of the Hutts in Star Wars Episode 1.
