@marconiparello. Thank you for this video. You have included another good tip for cutting machine operators when you put the strips on top of the longer sheet of card before making the finishing cuts. This makes the smaller pieces easier to remove from the machine because you can guide/steer them out with that extra piece at your right hand. Excellent work sir - and a couple of fans too! Stay safe and well.

I worked at a company that made self-adhesive labels and numbered tags and things like that. That's where I learned some tricks. This video is real proof that they are very useful. Mais uma vez Obrigado 👍🏻 (Português)

How do you avoid the excess paper fiber from the cuts on the outside of the blade? Or do you just accept them?
@marconiparello21 күн бұрын
@@CameronStruthers Did you ask about the gaps between the labels? If so, know that there is a space between each label that needs to be eliminated for a perfect finish.
@CameronStruthers21 күн бұрын
@@marconiparello of course. But for us there is always a cleaner cut edge on the inside of the blade. So we would typically cut one side of the bleed then rotate to cut the other side.
@marconiparello21 күн бұрын
@@CameronStruthers Ok. I see you are a good observer. This program was made in an unusual way. You see I cut the top and rotated it 90 degrees and cut the left margin but continued slicing until the last one which had the right margin [2:15-2:20min.] which I had to rotate 180 degrees to cut. This label diagram had some columns with different measurements from bottom to top.

@@marconiparello yes I see. But you do all the gutter cuts in sequence. If we cut the edge of a document flyer or anything where the cut edge is on the outside of the blade… it will have paper fibers on it. Like dust. But any finish cuts that are behind the blade are always very clean
@marconiparello21 күн бұрын
@@CameronStruthers Got it. The fiber and dust generated is negligible. A very sharp knife improves the result. The print order was 15,000 52x66cm sheets.
