@@discobikerAndRosie on a mobile device tap the video while it is playing, then tap the 3 dots icon in the corner to bring up the video options, then you can turn them on from there. 65% of my audience don't speak english, so closed captions can be auto-translated into any language. Ooooh, that pop was satisfying! So sorry to hear about your knuckles. There's nothing like a good David Attenborough show to chill out to on TV. The coke polar bear was a nice touch, and this was a beautiful project to capture something so very important. 🌍 It's horrifying to see the plastic buildup in the oceans and the harm it does to wildlife (as well as all the other issues that come with pollution). But Goddamn... Alexa is vicious! 😂 Thanks for sharing, as always!

Very neat idea for the glass molds. :D The soapy water is a good trick too but I will give you another tip. Try freezing it for 20-30 minutes and that should make it easier to remove from the mold without needing soapy water. :) I use that often on a few difficult to release molds. - Heidi

What a beautiful statement piece! Think it's your best resin piece you've ever made. Really!❤ It's so sad that we as humans throw so much waist in nature which will end up in the oceans. The plastic soup is expanding. I really hope that everybody gets a wakeup call that things really need to change. But people are so stubborn. It makes me sad. Thank you for using your channel to create awareness, and you do it in a fun way. But everybody gets the message and hopefully start to make a change.

How did you get the resin to release from the mold, mine keeps sticking and ruining my molds? Great video
@resinAce5 жыл бұрын
There are three main issues that can cause epoxy resin to stick to silicone moulds 1) If the resin overheats in the early stages of the cure 2) If the mould is not shiny or has any defects in it. Re-used moulds in particular 3) The presence of alcohol, such as alcohol inks or alcohol-based cleaning agents. If you can eliminate those possibilities then I can only assume it's the type of resin you're using, as I never have any trouble with mine. www.resin4art.com

@@resinAce I have a set of gummy bear stitch markers I used for knitting and they are always a favourite - but a randomly sparkly, glittery, mica-y one to mark the start of the round/row would be far more interesting than the generic ones. Same for those coke bottles. Just thought I'd throw that out there (though obviously that would depend if you wanted to sell them).

Micro-plastic is especially bad for the environment! It takes less time to break down and is the size preferred as food for smaller ocean animals, so as they ingest it, it makes its way into the food chain as smaller creatures become part of the chain first.
