I saw a video yesterday that compared the Polar H10 with clinical ECG, and the results was almost as good as identical. Going to buy one tomorrow

Thank you so much for this review. For comparative purposes, a normal : - HF (ms2) ranges between 770 and 1078 - LF (ms2) ranges between 754 and 1586 - LF/HF ranges between 1.5 and 2 - RMSSD (ms) ranges between 15 and 45 - SDNN (ms) ranges between 30 and 100 It is possible the norms are different for each person, though these ranges were cited from the NeuralChek HRV system. Highly recommend considering a NeuralChek analysis. It cost $50, consider searching your area. It measures : - the balance of right and left brain hemispheres - balance of parasympathetic and sympathetic states - biological age vs chronological age - the energy levels of each chakra along the spine - the energy of each meridian, and - brain wave state you are currently operating in - alpha, beta, theta, delta, gamma. The categories of measurement are : nuerohormal regulation index, vegetative regulation index, adaptation level, and psychoemotional state.

You shouldn't let batteries go low. The way it recharges, it makes it bad for the lifetime of the battery to drop to such low levels and have to recharge back to 100%. It's always better to recharge way before your phone tells you it has low battery, it'll extend the battery life. Good habits ( just like you don't eat on the brink of death from starvation all the time ).

Curious how having to get out of bed to wet your strap, put it on, and then laying back down, affects your Morning Readiness score? Wouldn’t being “up and about” affect your score, or is that taken care of by trying to relax for a few minutes before taking the reading? Thanks for the vid!

An early pioneer of hrv who developed ‘Morpheus’ he stated its bs that there is a standard method of calculating & you should not compare one value of one system with another. There are different methods & calcs. Better to use one decent system over time.

Polar H10 + an app will give you better HRV readings than any wrist based sensor. But how does this system compare to Garmin's BodyBattery which takes sleep into account as well and gives you one score? Are these apps missing out on tracking and factoring sleep as a parameter for recovery?

Great content, Kyle. Thank you so much for creating it. I have a similar tool stack with the Polar H10 and Elite HRV. I have also been using heart math as it does in fact show when you are in coherence a little easier (as you pointed out that is something that could be more user friendly with Elite HRV). My question: Apart from morning readings, and the time when you do coherence exercises, when else do you take readings via Polar + Elite HRV? Do you ever do like sessions where you work (not work out, but do work), and let it run for a couple of hours and see what kind of stress level you have had? So you can sort of intervene the next time by doing coherence breathing, etc? Just wondering how I can maximise the use of Polar and Elite HRV. Many thanks! :)

I'm currently doing the 10 week resonance breath training program, so I use it during those sessions twice a day. Would love to try heart math at some point, heard great things. Haven't tested while I work, could be interesting though.
@vintres2000
@vintres2000 3 жыл бұрын
@@wellnessdaddy Makes sense! I haven’t looked into the details but I think HeartMath says that coherence training of at least minutes are having an impact on our HRV baseline. Is that your aim for the 10 week training ? And is it from EliteHRV? I like heart math cause it makes reading the real time feedback so easy. I set the breath pacer to i think 4 seconds based on the book „Breath“ but haven‘t tried experimenting with the protocols you mentioned... I reckon Lief would be interesting for during work type of measuring.

Thanks for the video. I too tried Dr. Joe Dispenza's meditations, initially everything went well but then I kept getting worse especially in terms of stress and I abandoned his meditations. In Dr. Dispenza's books I read that they collaborated with Heartmath and I saw the devices like Inner Balance and I was thinking about trying it but I wasn't sure about buying it considering the cost, then seeing your video and knowing that you also practiced the meditations by Dr. Joe Dispenza and you have obtained excellent results with HRV monitoring I am really pleased and you give me confirmation that underneath these devices can be a great help :) Do you think it's better to aim for the inner balance or is the polar h10 + Elite HRV app better? I saw that there is also the Kyto 2935 HRV monitor similar to the inner balance and it costs much less. One thing I don't understand (unfortunately I'm Italian and I use subtitles to try to understand the things you explain), how to understand through the Elite HRV app that we are doing a great job of consistency when it is used for breathing exercises? With the Inner Balance app there is the respiration visualizer which indicates when we are in coherence (I have not tried it, I have seen other videos on youtube), but with the Elite HRV there is no respiration visualizer and I it remains difficult to understand. Can you please explain to me how to do it? Thanks.🙏🙏🙏

Just bought the Polar H10...question: It will sync with my Garmin 35 watch....yes? I'm a bit behind the technology with these devices but I can assure you, I'm 71 and in good shape just want a device that is way more accurate than what the app on my Garmin 35 offers with the constant heart rate on the watch. I've read all I can and it does say: it will sync with my Garmin 35....sure hope so. Oh by the way, I owned a Polar hrm many years ago and it was great but back then, they no one offered a smart watch. LOL. Good review and get back with me on if it will sync with the Garmin 35 please. Thanks, Kenny From Southern CA.

It'd be real cool if the polar strap could be used to do a real-time ECG while you were exercising like the FRONTIER X strap and their frontier x app. I don't know why these third party apps cannot show an ECG real time chart like the frontier. I would buy the frontier but it's about $500 which is insane. I don't understand why these ECG straps can't give you actual ECG data not just heart rate The actual like EKG ECG in real time. Weird no apps do it but the frontier. And you can't pair the polar with the frontier app
