Thanks for watching. Check out my other one about if the shifter gets jammed. I have heard that it saves people hundreds of dollars by not having to go to a dealer. Have a great week.

Generally as long as you see the coolant right up to the cap you are good to go the full and low lines are overflows for the motor when it’s warm

Thanks so much. I set out to teach a few things on my channel but I am the one learning so much.

You should still fill the overflow with coolant if it’s empty. That is a must

Great point. Thanks for watching. What machine do you run.

After filling the rad you should run the engine with the rad cap off to purge air out of the system. Then put on cap and take quad for a ride. Let it cool down then check level. Add more coolant if needed.

Thanks for watching and the great advice. Do you own a Polaris.

Many models may need to be parked in an uphill direction to aid getting air out of block and hoses, toward the radiatior. Just the opposite of the older straight six jeeps that have a bleeder on backside of the block by firewall. Had minor overheating issues (when weather hits triple digits here) until I used the uphill "burping" method.

You did everything correct up to that point but after all that you should've started it and let it run for a little bit with the cap off. If it is low enough it would suck some of the coolant into the radiator once the thermostat opened. If so fill it up once again then put the cap on and you're good to go.

@northwoodsdiscovery69625 жыл бұрын
Yes- I have heard horrible stories from when people mix coolant types. This also goes for cars as well.
