Love the video buddy. Love how it’s non-edited . Love to see it’s not only me with things flying all over and losing parts to what I call The Land Of Make-believe.

Service manual calls for 0W-40 to cover half of the pins - not stuffing all that grease in it.

Make sure you replace the o-rings on the actuator shafts or it will leak out.
@Kingsoupturbo10 ай бұрын
@@MrFixit1 I did my O-rings and filled it to spec with oil and it still leaks, it might be getting grease down the line as well.

4:30 how far did you need to drill? i already made a good little hole. but when i use my punch to punch out the little thing, its not working.
@MrFixit12 ай бұрын
I'd say it was 3/16 or a 1/4 inch or so. You will know because you will feel the difference between the aluminum and the hardened steel pin. But this was a few years ago now so my memory is a bit faded. Good luck.

Ive got a sloppy shifter, on my recently acquired , 99 sportsman 500, easy fix, rebuild or replace ?
@MrFixit1 Жыл бұрын
Not a lot you can do to fix it. Best to replace it. The pin that runs through the ball on the lever may be broken or loose. I would check that.
@garyjohn3162 жыл бұрын
Mr fix it, how in the hell did you get the 2 linkage rods off the shifter?? Thanks!
@MrFixit12 жыл бұрын
They were held in by a bolt and nut. 7/16 I believe.
