We finally rebuilt Kevins Polaris Rzr 570 with a Wiseco HC Piston to give this beast 570 a bump in performance. Lets see how it goes. This video also shows how to rebuild the cylinder and time a Polaris 570 motor for others.

Perfect extremely helpful video. If this video doesn’t help you rebuild the top end on a polaris 570 you shouldn’t own tools

i have a 2015 rzr 570 with 400 hours onit and all most 4000 miles , change all fluids every 30 hours includeing oil filter and it has run fault less , never fail to start even after being lay up for a few weeks , never used any oil between oil changes , i am very much into maintenence and think it helps alot to keep on top of this sweet little engine as it has to work very hard

For those of you wondering why out-of-adjustmant valves cause a no start, as the valve seats wear from the valves seating millions of times and the slight wear of the cam lobes riding on the buckets, the valves actually sit deeper In the seat which causes the valve stem to rise. The rise of the valve stem also raises the bucket (which sits on the valve stem) and closes the gap between the cam lobe. The loss of the clearance gap will cause the valve to not fully close losing compression through the slightly open valve......almost all car engines use this same design as well.

How much lateral movement should a piston have, if any? My son borrowed my 2015 Ranger crew 570 and smoked the clutch belt. He replaced the belt then started it up and heard knocking in the motor. I got it back and started it and heard a fairly loud knock from the lower part of the motor. Doing the rear down when I got to top end of there was lots of water or coolant in the cylinder, piston top and on the gaskets when I pulled the cylinder off. One burnt valve and I can move the piston side to side quite a bit. Thanks. And your video made the tear down simple! Thanks.

Ya, that’s kinda what I figured. Removed piston and sure enough the rod has both lateral and vertical slop. The up and down of the rod is the knock I could hear!!! 😡

That is exactly what I was wondering. I know that on a regular engine that you would find in a car or truck that you would use a regular ring compressor but with that engine design it looks like it's a whole different ballgame.

I have a 2014 Polaris ranger with a 570 in and only 180 hrs on it, It started burning oil real bad not sure what went wrong. I've never over heated and the oil is not over filled (questions I've been asked) I have to put oil in every couple of hours of use, do you think if I just replace the same parts you did it will fix it? I have't heard of this problem coming up with any other 570, also the air filter box is dry so its not sucking it up that way.

SolitudeCustoms i wish my 03 kodiak 400 had an odometer on it. I had that quad for 13yrs and bought it brand new. I rode the shit out of that thing plowing a quarter mile drive every winter, hauling firewood, pulling logs, going on 30 mile+ rides at national parks several times each year and just riding around the property in general. Still had the same power as the day i bought it and the oil came out just a shade darker than when it when in on the last oil change before i sold it. Changed oil and filter once a year. That was a well built motor. Never changed the belt all those years i had it either. No joke. Only sold it to buy a sxs.

You said that when you were done rebuilding the motor it wouldn't start. So you had to change bucket shims. Any reason why you would have to change them when all you did was install new piston. Maybe cause it was a high compression piston?
@Solitude313
@Solitude313 8 жыл бұрын
No it was 2 different things, it would be hard to start so we did the piston and got a Lil more power thinking that would fix the hard start but the whole time it was the valve adjustment
