Now I understand how this all can be taken out of the ATV frame I was looking for a video and I see this one this really helped me out I'm definitely looking forward to getting it down because mine needed it's transmission fluid drained out thoroughly and have refilled with fresh fluids

You just gotta love opening something up and are rewarded with chunks. Have you ever noticed that the easiest part to replace (ie takes all of 30 sec. to replace) not only will stop the machine in question dead in its tracks but also takes the most effort and disassembly to get to?

very helpful video, thanks for putting that up. I have a 92 350 4x4 that is very difficult to shift into any gear, but low especially. Grinds a lot and requires just the right position to engage, sometimes pops back into neutral after going forward 10-20 yards any advice that won't involve taking the whole thing off like in your video?

What is your opinion of Polaris operational ability? Question do they break down more than other atvs?
@231MasseyFerguson9 жыл бұрын
Polaris has come a long ways since then! I owned a 2 stroke 94 explorer 300 and the trans broke so I got rid of it. Couldn't believe all the chains it had!! Bought it used but said I'd never buy another Polaris but I'm actually looking at the new ones now. Specifically the 570 Sportsman EPS. I've always bought Honda and I currently own an 09 Foreman 500 and it's been a pretty good bike but had a few problems that shouldn't have happened.. Good video!

around 6:30 when youre using a screwdriver on that tab is unneeded. the end of the shift fork is chamfered so it will pop in on its own

This may be an old video, and you might have learned more about bearings since this video was posted....which I find extremely helpful btw, thank you but, when you said plastic bearing, I laughed. The ball bearing carriage that you refer to as plastic, is probably Nylon, or a ceramic but, it could be a much higher quality bearing than those in the Polaris. The reason they use the nylon or ceramic is because its an excellent way to dissipate heat and it can be its own lubricant. Do a little research on bearings and you might find that "you" have been buying the wrong bearings. Good vid bro.

Hubs aren't magnetizing to lock in the Hilliard Clutch. 1st... buy a manual on your ATV... THEN, Check the the fluid in the hubs, then check OHM's with a multimeter starting at the wire up top coming from the switch and work your way down to each front hub.
