Clutch wouldn't release belt on low idle and was a very big hassle. Clutch wouldn't slide properly on bushing - this is our backyard repair, no fancy tools here. Ye ha

Hi Guys...no mechanic...just fixed my machine...been working great since the video was created...absolutely no problems and clutch came apart and went back together easy. The machine is running super smooth. Maybe i just got lucky...lol

Second comment after watching a bit more , How to hell did you get the spider and lock nut off while the clutch is on the machine ????? It takes 250 foot pounds to properly torque them on now you are really going to screw up the towers . And did you even check for the alignment marks on all the three separate sliding parts . I wouldn't advise anyone to follow these instructions unless you are looking to get hurt by a clutch coming apart .Sorry but should be done on the bench with a proper hold down tool -- vice grips will just mark up the sheive and putting rope in the cylinder to lock the crank will probably screw up the crank timing at 250 ft lbs ,

Hey I know it’s been a long time since you posted this video but anyways I blew a belt on my 1997 xlt 600 I put a new belt on shortly after then clutch started sticking at idle and stalls out moving and won’t idle on its own no more is this the forsure trick

This is done much easier if you have the primary laying horizontally in a holding fixture. They are easily made, even out of wood if you choose. The primary puller is easy to make as well. Cheers!
