Am I the only one who's shed a tear or two remembering the old good times while listening to this? Greetings from México.

There’s something about the intro to Pete and Pete and the odd sense that it’s always fall in every episode that I find resembles my childhood growing up in New England.

I ALWAYS thought it was either that last stupidly hot day of Summer, or mid-Fall. Totally! Makes sense

Pretty much yes. From NJ where Pete and Pete was filmed, same exact thoughts. It gives me the feelings of the last days of summer or early fall whenever I hear it. My absolute favorite months of the year.

20 years later, voice is still great, almost no difference at all. And finally I can hear the Chorus line as "Does your dog bite?" rather than "Don't you talk back". The nostalgia hurts lol.

I'm not sure if there was ever an intersection of things I loved without any things I hated more than Pete and Pete. I am trying to be rational and carefully weigh all the great things, but it might be the best thing ever. BTW, I'm more the demographic of Polaris rather than the 'targeted' demo of the show.
@Aristocles224 жыл бұрын
A modern reboot of the show, possibly a sequel, would be perfect in 2023 (or whenever wokeness is past us).
@krebstarinc.42253 жыл бұрын
Respectfully, nope! Can't be done without undoing what was great.
@Aristocles223 жыл бұрын
@@krebstarinc.4225 I should amend my statement. As long as things are still woke, no remakes of ANYTHING should be made. When wokeness comes to an end and we don't need to fear the PC police anymore, then it can be remade.
@krebstarinc.42253 жыл бұрын
@@Aristocles22 I agree to your amendment! I wonder how important time and place were though? Is there a way to have cameos in a new version that had the impact of the original? Maybe Mac Demarco and Kim Deal could be Little Pete's band in the new Hard Day's Pete?
@Lg-kb7ob3 жыл бұрын
A woke Pete n Pete? In this episode Pete thinks he’s a Patty and his parents are domestic terrorists for thinking otherwise.
@smelltheglove2038 Жыл бұрын
No, modern reboots destroy what is already great. They need to create something new, not recycle someone else’s good idea then destroy it. A modern Pete and Pete would most certainly be full of degenerate behaviors and be set in the inner city, demonizing the people from the first show. The “modern audience” is a myth.
