Those snowmachines are gold, and they do run foreverrrrrrrrrrr... the engine still was running flawlessly and just the chassis was giving out
@antebellummusic70762 жыл бұрын
We had about 3ft of snow last winter and got snowed in for 4 days. We didn't have anything that could get through it, and the 4wd tractors were a mile away. I hated being stuck in the house, so I waited until summer and bought a snowmobile for $200. This exact model. Perfect condition, the feeder tube in the gas tank fell off so it wouldn't run. The suspension is ceased, but that can be fixed with a little PB blaster. It runs okay now, but I just got back from being pulled home cause I ran out of gas. Mine's pull start though. I didn't even know they came with electric start. Lucky so have that, too, cause being stuck in 2 degree weather is not fun.

I just got my 95 Trail Indy Deluxe 488 running after the thing had sat dry for three years. Mine wouldn’t go at first either, but I found similar problems. After I took the fuel pump apart and changed some dried out fuel line she fired right up. My battery was frozen and dead so I couldn’t crank on it like you did. It would have been helpful to see your video first. Good work! 👍

Oh yeah almost forgot to mention...7 litre Evacuator fluid recovery tool manual hand pump or air compressor powered tool are on Ebay pretty reasonable. They work great for sucking out gas tanks and coolant systems. Just finished pulling and installing the motor on my 04 Pro X 800. Maybe lost a half cup of coolant in the bulk head. It works that good! My fuel tank had a broken cap also. Was able to suck out ALL the contaminated fuel. Just passing this along to help out anyone.

Today I found a 1990 sks 650 for $500 not running but has spark and compression. Condition not great but then I found a 91 650 wedge which is in excellent shape just no paperwork and the guy is asking $750. Looks bone stock with no pipes. Had a deposit on a 98 xcr 600 but am now considering the 91 650 for $750. The xcr i got for only $850. Has a rough cowl but runs great! Decisions Decisions.
