I'm having this problem with my 2014 Polaris 570 quad - but the sensor is in a different location. Do you happen to have a picture of where it would be on the 570?

where did you buy the aftmarket sensor may i ask. do u have a part number? thanks
@yellowdogfarm2 жыл бұрын
I don’t remember where I got it. Recommend you look up your OEM part number on the Polaris website. Then just pop that number into a Google search. The aftermarket ones will pop up

I just bought one on Amazon for $13. Reference the OEM part number which is #4010644. Good luck.

Had side by side running like 30 mins outside was like 205 degrees then went for a ride went down to 196 degrees. Then these lights came on I pulled in garage went to diagnostic these 2 codes came up 3-110 16-110 But it's not hot as soon as you turn the key the fan runs non stop even a hour later I went out to check if lights went off . But they hadn't but when I go to diagnostic they don't show up now but lights on and still in limp mode and fan runs non stop even though engines cold and engine doesn't show a temp. I'm assuming it's a sensor . I watched a couple tube videos I tried seeing I could see anything but no such luck . I removed the entire box to get good look . Not wanting put bed back on it the issue is temp sensor or something. . If you happen to have any advice I'd appreciate it . The coolant level in reservoir is fine . I seen where temp sensor is on motor wire look hooked up . Is there a way to try reset code?
@rayhealy384111 ай бұрын
I don't know of a way to reset codes. I'm used to seeing 3 number groups for Polaris codes. When I had an issue I came across a forum post. It said that if your fan comes as soon as you turn on the ignition the sensor has probably failed. Since the computer can't sense the temperature it immediately turns on the fan to protect it from overheating. Hope that helps!

I have a 2015 Polaris Ranger 570 midsize and I am trying to trace a wiring problem. I have bought a CD from TechSpark, but the wiring diagram is so small as to be unreadable. Even when I try to expand it, it is still unreadable. I contacted the local Polaris dealer, and was told that they do not have a wiring diagram. I have tried to find a book, such as Clymer, that would provide me with a wiring diagram, but no luck so far. Do you know of a source for wiring schematics that you can read??? My three codes point to the throttle body, but I have replaced that with no change in the codes.
@yellowdogfarm2 жыл бұрын
I don't have a source. I have found that there are quite a few Polaris technicians that read the Polaris Ranger forum and Facebook groups for Polaris. I'm willing to bet someone in one of those groups or forums can point you in the right direction. Good luck!

Our 2010 Polaris ranger 500 is terrible to start in cold weather. It backfires and takes forever to start, After it is running it runs fine, Someone suggested it could be the heat sensor. Does this make sense? In warm weather there is no problem.
@yellowdogfarm Жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out our video. I don’t know if the heat sensor has a role in the ignition/fuel or not. We live with n South Carolina so it really doesn’t get all that cold here.

I watched a different video that claims that is a oil pressure sensor. I assume you are correct I ordered a new sensor just didn’t wanna get into it a be the oil sensor
@yellowdogfarm Жыл бұрын
Interesting! If you want to check for sure for sure you can get on the Polaris website and view the parts catalog for your specific machine. A good way to remove all doubt.

My polaris ranger is overheating. The fan only comes on when either it overheats, or when I disconnect the power to the temperature sensor. Does that mean I need to replace the sensor, or is it something else?
@yellowdogfarm2 жыл бұрын
My fan doesn’t come on until the temp of my Ranger gets to about 205. Is it throwing a code or turning the check engine light on? The fan turns on as a fail safe when you pull the temp sensor power. If that is happening then you don’t have a blown fuse or a short to ground in the bundle.

I cut my wrench in half in order to get it in the space-it’s definitely tight!
