great and informative video. Hoping someone is still monitoring this page. I have a question. I found a mostly good transmission case to replace mine on my 2018 Ranger 900 XP. The guy that has the case broke his snorkel gear. It has similar damage like you showed around where the snorkel gear sets. But the rest of the case is in good shape with no cracks that I can see. Can I use this case even though it has that small area chewed up inside where the snorkel gear sets?

I did turf delete on my ranger and 24 percent gear reduction only running 32s

Turf delete is a must on these if you are doing anything other than farm work lol I'm about to do a 12% on mine then eventually get a set of portals to throw on it.

I have a Polaris General that needs a transmission rebuild as well. What is usually the normal cost of a rebuild?

It really depends on what's needed, can be anywhere from $1,200 to $2,800 is about the most I have spent on one.

@@3BROFFROAD I’m thinking I need a bearing and seal kit plus I need to delete the turf mode.

Bearing and seals are around $300 for parts, and the turf delete is $305. Just bought one this week for a transmission I'm rebuilding. Then it just depends on if you are doing it yourself to save on labor. We are around 5 hours labor for pulling, rebuilding, and reinstalling the transmission.

10 hours seems high on hours, but the price is right on par with what we are used to. It just depends on the labor rate.

The rzrs don't have a turf mode so you are ahead there. But the chain, gear reduction and upgraded snorkel gear most definitely will.

It depends on what's all being replaced but labor apart at $450 when we are pulling, rebuilding and putting back in.
