What an amazing review if everybody would just leave reviews like this I think the whole world would be a better place! Knowing there's nothing ever 100% perfect in everybody's eyes and sharing the downfalls I think is also a valuable tool in the selling point not being deceived and allowing people to make a full informed educated decision!

Just my opinion (which means nothing): Only issue is it's a Polaris, Glad you are creating some memories with this machine, but I honestly have not been impressed by Polaris. In Alaska we really abuse our toys and they just don't seem to hold up. I owned one brand new (2017) and ended up bending the frame hauling gear in the backwoods, unsure how these machines are supposed to hold up when people go moose/caribou hunting. Up here I see a lot of Honda, Can-Am and Yamaha and they seem to take the abuse. I also see a lot of late 90's to early 2000's Polaris machines as well and they seem to of been better built back in the day. Polaris seems to be the machine people buy to play on the beach, but not for any meaningful work. I will admit the children safety features like the geo fence is a pretty innovative idea by Polaris and may be reason to get a machine like this. As always keep up the great work, and keep making on making

Thanks for the great video! 95 percent of the UTVs you see at our local shop getting repaired are polaris. The techs hate working on them and complain about the lack of build quality and durability. If you want to carry a more sporty brand and avoid warranty headaches, I'd recommend Yamaha or Honda. They're built more to last
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
I almost bought a Polaris XP900 when they came out. So glad I didn't, I hardly see any Polaris products where I live, and apparently the breakdowns, and repairs are so ridiculous nobody wants them in their fleets...where I live you see Honda, Yamaha, and Can-Am...starting to see a few of the Kubota UTVs now though. I had a Yamaha Rhino, but it really didn't hold up to the utility function very well...with the rear differential locked on it and no way to unlock it, it would quickly destroy your yard, the bed capacity was fine, but you couldn't steer the thing if you had it loaded, you also couldn't dump it unless you wanted to man handle the bed lifting yourself. It was plenty fast enough at 45mph top speed for the type of vehicle it was, did fine out in the woods, but it was the utility function that killed it for me. I don't miss it, wouldn't waste money on another UTV or ATV, everything I did around the property with it I can do with my tractor, my lawn tractor, and the little yard cart. I'd rather buy one of those Daihatsu type mini trucks before I'd waste money on another UTV or ATV.
@ABenjamin762 жыл бұрын
Fair points. I've heard good things about the Yamaha rhino but at the end of the day, it's hard to be a true work machine when you have a CVT. I gotta disagree with you about not needing a UTV. We run a horse business and do tons of outdoor work and i use our UTV wayyyy more than we use a tractor. I use it daily. I've owned the Honda and it's a good hybrid work and play machine, being a gear drive single cyclinder. I now own the kubota rtv 900 and am completely blown away by what it can do. It's a tractor in a UTV body. 3 cyclinder diesel. I've pulled out cars with it, put a 3 point hitch on and trenched irrigation line in low gear, great bed size for moving hay, very easy to work on, and overall can take a beating for utility use. It also snows where i live and the thing is an animal at plowing snow. They're meant to last
@wildbill23c2 жыл бұрын
@@ABenjamin76 Try one of the mini trucks you'll quickly grow to hate a UTV after using a mini truck, especially in bad weather. The sides on those mini trucks fold down, many come with locking differentials, 4WD, and a manual transmission. Cost is about the same as a UTV without a cab and without heat and without AC which many of those mini trucks have both. I've been thinking of getting one of them with the dump bed If the Rhino had a selectable locking rear differential like it did the front it would have been so much better.

Did you look at Polaris's Hammerhead carts and side by side equipment? The Mudhead 208R is a Great option to start kids on and they have the GTS-150s that have plenty of power for an adult. We love our GTS 150s for fun around the farm. Easy to modify the GY-6 engines for the GTS-150s. Tons of videos on Hammerheads and GY-6 engine upgrades too. GTS -150s handle great too. The LE-150s have really nice upgraded suspension kits. Stock the GTS-150s go 38 mph. With very simple mods to the GTS 's intake and carb they go much faster. Even have simple kits to increase the GY-6 engine size for more power. Maybe Polaris will let you start as a Hammerhead dealer and then into their Polaris line. The Only two Hammerhead dealers in this area are in Mechanicsburg and Waynesboro which also carry Polaris equipment in addition to other equipment lines. Thanks for another good video.

I had mine for 5 months- luckily somebody bought that at same price i paid - freaking junk, steering is super hard even for adults at low speeds, engine fan sucking every last piece of weed into it, overheats easy at 80+ temperatures, front brake reservoir is in the spot where you hit a branch you will need new brake system, super thin a-arms, junk battery, junk roof, front bumper will do nothing to protect anything ... And more ... Geofencing is junk, it will only slow down kid to few miles an hour, anyway - just sell yours and buy cf Moto or Kymco for only couple thousand more with 4x4 or even power steering
