Help needed! 2016 XP 900 ranger. When I rotate my engine counterclockwise with the clutch to get my timing, mark in the site hole with the cam tensioner in when I get it on top dead center and unloosen the timing chain tensioner my timing mark moves when there’s no tension on the chain. What am I doing wrong?

Just an FYI. Most 2011-2013 models will only have 1 timing mark on the flywheel and you will have ZERO chance of seeing it through the sensor hole. Your stator cover will 100% have to come off as the timing mark pointed to the top is infact not TDC. That timing mark goes parallel with the joint on the case down towards the rear if the engine. Timing it through the sensor hole will render your machine a few teeth out of timing. Cheers.

You have to electric start it and wait then hold the brake then turn it on
