I rented a premium trail S 1000 in South Dakota for two days. I thought it was an excellent machine. Put on 250+ miles and it went where ever I pointed it. Tons of power and I was amazed at how efficient it was on fuel. I plan on buying one of the same model very soon. Well if I can find one in stock in my area.

Power steering is the other main addition on premium and ultimate. Main reason I didn’t go with the sport. That and 25 horses. I went ultimate with front and back windshields, rock sliders, brush guard, winch, subwoofer, and storage box. Couldn’t be happier. Fast and nimble as hell

For someone that doesn’t jump and lives in the elevation on the Pa Wva line where there’s no sand dunes or stuff where an XP shines but is a snowmobiler so I still love power, would an s be a satisfying choice, especially if they will be available four seat? Trips would mostly be Hatfield McCoy, maybe occasionally Michigan. Mostly ridden locally on Wva back roads and tight trails and power/pipe lines and rocks

Own a 2021 turbo s dynamix, love it! My girlfriend is talking like she wants her own machine but doesn't want turbo. I think this trail s in the premium version would be great for her. Lil smaller machine making it easier for her to maneuver. But with the 1000 engine it should rip when needed. The price point seems good as well. In my area 2015 xp 1000's are being sold for 15-20k as used machines. So for us a new machine is the best money spent.
@kolemoore47983 жыл бұрын
I like the model. Being a long time RZR 800 Trail owner... The badging of "Trail" was deceiving... 50" traditional trail width, S being 60" and XP and other models 64"+. Pricing is refreshing compared to turbo and pro XP models!

I had a 900s and it was great on the narrow trails, The best part is the short wheelbase, especially for turning around on a small patch of earth where there is a deep ditch or drop off on one side and a tall bank on the other. The bed is larger than the XP bed so come hunting season there is plenty of room to pile the gear in. My only real complaint is there is only so much you can do with 12 and 13 inches of wheel travel if you are like me, run a soft setup because you do a lot of rough terrain crawling. disconnecting the swaybars help to get the most articulation. If i get another buggy i would look into the premium and consider an arched arm set up at 64 inches to get the travel I want but still keep that short wheel base

I think they are all overpriced. I'd take one for sure but really, a SXS maxed out costs as much as a new pickup with a good amount of bells and whistles. A base model cost as much or more than a car.
@bill_b84403 жыл бұрын
Most mid trim full size trucks are in the $50k-$60k range. Last time I checked the smart shocks 4 seater x3 which is one of the most expensive side by sides you can purchase is like $32k.
@EC_ATV_Outdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@bill_b8440 in CAD, the non "R" X3, add the windshields and doors, mirrors, basically the basics. You'll be at almost $30k pre taxes and dealer charges. A 4x4 quad cab RAM are on sale 2x per year at $27k. A SXS has no radio, Heat, AC etc etc. I can go on about rim and tire costs, door seals, fit and finish. I'm not saying the SXS's aren't nice, but they are just over priced for what you get. An X3 out the door is more than I paid for a car in 2016 by 10k, and it was a luxury sedan. You don't get much for your money. And I know 3 guys who bought an AC, a RZR, and an X3. After adding the cabs and some basics each is in for $40k plus out the door. They didn't get different wheels or any crazy aftermarket stuff, just factory options. Nothing Ostacruiser crazy.

@EC_ATV_Outdoors3 жыл бұрын
@@bigt539 Windsor/Detroit. And they are year end sales or Ram month promotions. But $27k CAD will get you a basic quad cab with 4x4. In any case, the value is point. Buy a $20 sedan, you'll get 200-400k kms out of it, it'll have Satellite radio, heat AC, etc etc etc etc. A SXS will get you 10 years and a tenth of the kms. You'll spend exponentially more on maintence, unless you're don't give a damn type of owner. Add the fact you can't ride a sxs on the road (at least here). If I'm going to dish out $30k for the machine and basic add ons. Its a costly toy that can't be used for day to day. And that's where I'm jealous of some of these places you can drive on the streets as you please with a SXS or ATV.
@bill_b84403 жыл бұрын
@@EC_ATV_Outdoors i feel like thats why it's important to remind people they don't have to spend $30k to have fun in a side by side. You can pick up a 2 seat rspec wolverine for $14k. I don't and will probably never own a 160hp machine with 32" tires. Like you I simply can't justify the cost for a "toy", but I can't fault those who do because you have to put a value on fun too. I always encourage people just getting in to the sport to look at the more budget friendly machines rather than going straight to a 72" turbo model.
