I think a rear wheel/5-speed manual platform is much more fun. Front wheel drive\auto-transmission just doesn't cut it for me. No doughnuts. Although turbo cars are more fun than normally aspirated to me. But the Slingshot has way more after market support. Along with $10,000 less price tag for a base Slingshot you can customize any way you want. Also the Vanderhall seems small and somewhat feminine. Your shoulders are rubbing with your passenger The Slingshot is larger. Shoulders don't touch. And more masculine. Although the Vanderhall is faster.

Dear Saimah, Just found your channel and I really want to leave you a big thank you note for your content and the value of Turo business insight and experience to us viewers. Personally, I had just connected the dots in my stupid mind I could make this a business and a new career in my current unpassionate job and lifestyle. It is also a big plus for me because I love cars! I had just sign up for Turo and going to list my newly purchased Mazda 6 Gt to try it out hopefully everything goes well thank you! Now I'll continue binge watch and learn PS - DAM!

Whoa, you're beautiful and you like three-wheeled cars? You're a rarity. I rented the Slingshot and I'm about to rent the Vanderhall. Very interested in the Vanderhall. The Slingshot was okay, but it's way too wide and has terrible brakes. I like how small the Vanderhall is. Normally I ride a motorcycle but love the fact that a three-wheeler qualifies one to use the HOV lane whilst traveling solo. Big perk in Sunny SoCal (well, it's been rainy SoCal lately). However, the Vanderhall is more 'motorcycle' like with its small size, making it easier to park and offering a smaller garage footprint too. The bump shifter option on the Vanderhall is nice too. I really just like the retro styling of the Vanderhall as well. Close seating....the Vanderhall would be idea for a first date. :)

The Vanderhall needs to catch up and get a more serious roof option. The SS has a new full seal top as an option, the VV clamshell would be nightmare in a sudden rain. That might be a concern, the single rear wheel may be a bad factor for rain driving, but the SS stepped up, and both have a funny driver license/bike plate situation that makes that part much cheaper. Really need a rich fella or lady to fling one of these around a race course and expose their charachteristics in and out of elements, at speed.

Hello Saimahs! you provide very interesting information, may I ask you what kind of financing do you use? I trying to build my rent package by my own financing, but its quite difficult for me now, I can't handle more then 3-4 cars, in your opinion better use the lease programs or credit? If its lease, had you any problems with return the car after rent, miles, renting on Turo, maybe Turo don't want the lease cars?

Steering whee on Vanderhall is not just tilting but it’s also telescoping. When you get in make sure you do not step on the seat lever. Doing so you will bend it and it will not lock the seat in position. Just for FYI I am 6’4” and I have no problem getting in Venice. Just matter of figuring out your way. By the way I am a tech for Vandehall and for Slingshot. Keep the rubber side down!

SAIMAH The steering wheel is also telescopic. 1.4 liter turbo charged GM Chevy cruise power plant a six speed automatic with a bump shifter optional. 180 hp 180 foot pounds of torque. 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a 140 mph top speed. Traction control 400 watt bluetooth system heated seats and heat. These autocycles are awesome. They also stop on a dime. I am a certified tech on the Vanderhalls I work at a dealership in WI American marine and motorsports supercenter. Definitely a cool dependable hand crafted vehical made in the USA. Provo Ut. I would definitely suggest buying one, the company has already outgrown its facility and has moved into a much larger one. They also make a Speedster it's a one-seater only 100 will be sold in 2019. The Carmel is awesome as well with a 1.5 liter turbo at 200 hp and 200 fp of torque. The Edison is new as well that one is an electric car. A good review to watch is the Jay Leno garage reviewing the Vanderhall Venice. Good luck I hope this helps you.

Hello Saimah I am truo host in the sfo area wanted to know if you need a helmet for the polaris and vaderhall ?
@spacep0d5 жыл бұрын
It's a grey area in CA because of the rollbars. But, after renting a Slingshot I'd definitely recommend a helmet, especially if the Slingshot has no windscreen. I'm a motorcycle rider so I'm used to it, and I like earplugs to preserve my hearing. Wind in your face is just one problem....but losing your hearing to wind noise is a real concern. I plan to wear a helmet with the Vanderhall rental too.
@mrdsn1896 жыл бұрын
I think the Polaris has a lot more name recognition right now. I have to wonder how high the demand would be for a Vanderhall?. Other than that, it seems awesome!
@chrissschwehr59116 жыл бұрын
Competitively priced, equal performance, non-Cylon styling on the Vanderhall (more like '60s F1 style), and the Vanderhall is more comfortable which means longer trips plus auto transmission for those who can't drive a stick (most people these days)….Needs a a cover for the cockpit though..at least a tonneau (sp) for when you're driving by yourself or for if you have to park it overnight in a motel parking lot....after market leather cover anyone?
@Oakleyworld5 жыл бұрын

The Venice is a old mad roadster for people that like to do the speed limit and drive like a q tip. The Polaris is a drivers car that likes being able to hit every turn sideways and burn rubber. I would like to see the Venice attempt a burn out. Unfortunately almost everyone I see in a slingshot looks older than my grandfather and escaped hospice. Both mid life crisis cars.

@spacep0d5 жыл бұрын
It's in the eye of the beholder. After all, someone bought those horrifically ugly Pontiac Aztecs, right? I love the look of the Vanderhall for its retro WWII wingless warplane look, but the Slingshot is a Batmobile. Both have their appeal, but I prefer smaller vehicles with front wheel drive and in that sense, the Vanderhall is a theoretical winner. Of course, driving it will tell the rest of the story.
