lol, omg sir! First off, thank you for posting. I’m in phase one, research. I have a problem with my slip yoke. So, your video at least gave me visuals (i.e. got to see what spline looks like on front diff after yoke off). lol but my goodness Fred, there is certainly no rush to your vids, but somehow I still watched with out fast forwarding to much. Your video has inspired me to make my own, with some different video editing techniques. Just a suggestion, I find the best KZbin videos are brief but precise. No meaningless commentary. More to the point…you might try some try pods for your camera too. That be helpful, seen you working with one hand while holding camera. Cheers though sir!

I'm definitely not an expert at this KZbin video stuff, or for that matter I'm not even novice on the Polaris. Just an old farmer fixer. I do appreciate you taking time to comment. I'll try to do a little more cutting.

Jack dont think that slpooy spline will last even with grease. seems way to loose to me.

I plowed snow during the winter and it's been running fine ever since. It doesn't slip as far as I can tell.

A tough job.

I'm afraid that the worst is yet to come Cain. I may have to pull the transfer/transmission case to replace the shaft that connects to the prop rod.

Looks to me like Step 1 on a new Polaris is take the prop shaft out and grease the splines so that miles down the road you don't have a war with the machine to get it off! lol

Or...maybe if you keep it greased, you won't have to replace it at all.

You sir are not professional mechanic as I see from the video, the way you removing the U join with the air chisel is terrible . Maybe ok for backyard mechanic but you wouldn't be able make money for your living needs.

Your comment is spot on. I am definitely not a professional.
