I'm stuck at the yabba dabba do the cover off that you skipped. Mine seems to be sealed pretty tight and I don't want to break it. Is there not oil in this part?

Haha, my bad. If it's never been off before, it could be stuck. There is no oil in there. If you ha e a rubber mallet, you can tap it with that. There should be a couple of pins it seats into, and there can be corrosion on there that's holding it together as well.

@@LowLifeAntics thanks. I got it. A really good seal and a tiny bit of corrosion around the pins. I managed to pop it loose by tugging gently from the plug hole that's in the side. Then put a small screw driver in the middle and pushed on the left side to pop it off the pins. There was definitely oil in there so maybe that's part of my problem.

@minerMoe that can definitely be part of the problem. The crank seal is a problem. They are cheap replace it.

@@LowLifeAntics is that what would do this? I was wondering if someone may have put oil in that cap. It is right above the dipstick after all.

@@minerMoe how much oil was in there? There will be a little. Shouldn't be a ton.

what year is that? i need to order the right stator.. i was confused you had two stators
@LowLifeAntics2 жыл бұрын
So this one was a 09. The other stator is for 06 and down. If you need a coil and stator for an 06 and down let me know. I have them. You can have them if you pay the shipping cost.

@@LowLifeAntics I have a 2002 and I think you said the pick up coil is attached? I cant. even find a video to take off my plastic. so many pieces. how much to ship to 92882?

@@s2000pill send me some pictures. lowlifeantics@gmail.com I'll explain how to remove the plastics on your machine. 10 bucks to ship the coil and the stator.

Problem fixed! So here's what I did, I got the new stator and like the reviews says on amazon " the pick up coil is to close and ends up rubbing the flywheel. You have to bore the hole/slot 4mm or slightly to pull the pick up coil away from the flywheel. while i did that, no spark! Still no spark so I decided to retrace my steps and test the ignition coil with Multimeter, to my surprise, I was at 12.500 ohms and way out of spec! I threw in a new coil and voila spark! Thank you for making me go step by step! Turns out I had bad stator +/- coil. COuld just been a coil from the start but we will never know. THe point is to take it step by step and not jump conclusions like I did.

How do I take off the flywheel if I don’t have an impact wrench
@LowLifeAntics2 жыл бұрын
So another way I used to do. You can take one of the oil filter band wrenches and hold the flywheel with that. I had a cheap rubber one from harbor freight that worked great.
