Here you can see the difference between a polarised lenses and non polarised lenses (tinted lenses)
In this video you can see the difference between tinted and polarised lenses. These polarised prescription lenses help eliminate glare and improve vision in the sun. They are great sunglasses for fishing as they help eliminate glare on the water. These also help reduce the harsh reflections from snow and other surfaces, such as the sun reflecting on a wet road. These are some of the best sunglasses lenses available.
The lenses used in this video are a pair of Hoya varifocals with a grey polarised filter. The lenses are finished off with a Hoya Vision Long Life anti reflective coating on the front and back of the lens. This helps reduce the reflections on the lenses and improves the overall clarity and helps with the aesthetics of the lenses.
I used my clients own Ray Ban frames for this job. The original lenses were made of glass and just a standard tint with no anti reflective coatings, these do not eliminate glare but it does obviously make everything darker still.

Do you know can those glasses be made in this prescription: -10, 5 cys 3, -11 cys 3,5? I can't find anyone who can do it in my country (Serbia) so i' m curious wether it can't be done just here or anywhere.

Hi, thanks for watching and for your comment. It should be possible but the availability isn't just based upon your prescription, it will be to do with the diameter of the lens required, the type and size of frame and your eye measurements all combined. There are some limitations to what can be done. Do you currently have clear glasses made to this prescription?

Thank you! Tinted 25%. They told me they don't do it if sum of diopter number and cylinder number is higher then 14.

There will be differences depending upon your supplier and their ability to source lenses etc. But remember, just because one supplier can't help you doesn't mean others can't. Have a look about. Unfortunately with your prescription, you may have to sacrifice something to get as close as you want. For example, if you definitely want polarised, you may only be able to have this in a 1.67 index rather than the thinner 1.74, sometimes you will have to unfortunately compromise on some elements here. Hi there! I dont know where to ask but it seems that you could help me out... I was wondering if there is any difference in polarization among different brands. Are some brands better than others as far as glare reduction is concerned? thanks for your response!!!

Hi, thanks for your question. Different brands may use different colours, coatings and treatments, but fundamentally a polarised lens will block out horizontal light. I personally don't favour a particular brand over another. Alot of it is marketing sometimes, but even an unbranded polarised lens with quality coaitngs can be very good. Hope this helps Colin

Hi, I've had a look and some of the model numbers were missing on the frame but I'm sure it is a Ray-Ban Wayfarer RB2140 RB 2140 902 Tort. This is the closest I can find to the one I reglazed. Hope this helps ☀️😎
