shimmer reverb is just pitchshifted tap delay in place of reverb. it goes that direction when a reverb is just a huge sum of tap delays there is also the option to create mangled reverbs with overdrive , distortion and waveshapers or dynamic reverbs with sidechain and dynamics so the reverb wet signal only appears when the initial sound is away. You can also use 2 transient shapers to have access to both parameters of a sound (attack body and tail) then use diffrent reverb settings as group effects. Or using a multiband device to just create a mono reverb on low end. It would make sense if you create a multipurpose fx otherwise just using a mid side eq is a good alternative. It is a bit difficult to create a raytraced reverb in bitwig because the missing dsp algorithm to recreate taps and positions in real physical space. Audio quantization and spectral compression is also difficult to just include desired harmonics we are still required to use synths and resonant filterbanks rather than going top down , creating first the tone then its excitement and diffusion it is likely to get messed up by going bottom up approach to resynth the sound characteristics in the feedback auxes of a reverb device. I am kind of new to the stacked modulator and the 12-pitch device but it could help to create the desired even or well placed pitch and mods. So basically the shimmer can be recreated by using more white noise of FM.

I love it, bring forth the strong points of Bitwig. It's great to have some details for the inspiration to take root. Device nesting is a rabbit hole for sure. You mentioned that the blur device uses all-pass and that made the Blur make more sense to me.

I am a Reason user but I do like the look/feel of Bitwig. Nice reverb. I build a lot of my own in reason (with help from SynthEdit). Helps build the Benedict Sound. :-)

Are the two points on the oscilloscope on reverb labelled L, and H? I understand that from left to right they are for the frequency, but what if you move them up, and down what does that stand for? Hopefully my question is not too baffling for you, and thanks for all the time you put into making your videos.

you mean the shimmer itself? it should be possible with the pitch shifter device in the wet fx on the reverb. "In addition, ValhallaShimmer has the ability to pitch shift the feedback signal." ... so it should be just a pitch shifted reverb mixed with the normal reverb sound.

depends on the kind of shimmer you want. try very light (like +0.01) slow modulation on Pre-delay parameter
