This video is super helpful for anyone curious about using polarizing filters with the Osmo Pocket 3. I love how you break down when and how to use them, especially showing the difference they make with reflections and glare. The tip about being careful with skies and wide-angle shots is spot on-I’ve definitely noticed that uneven toning before. Thanks for the detailed explanation and real-world examples!

This is honestly one of the best videos on KZbin about when and why to use polarizing filters and is not just applicable to Pocket 3. For instance, I just learned that polarizing filters reduce the light going into the camera sensoe so I'll avoid using them at night.

Thanks for this video. I've just cancelled the $30 CPL filter I ordered on Amazon for my new OP3. Most OP3 reviews say CPL filters are a must but your position makes more sense.

Just what I was looking for. Very instructional video. You just saved me some money on a cpl filter. Thanks for taking the time of sharing your knowledge.

Loved this... a CPL is indeed quite an useful tool but I am happy you talked about the biggest pitfall with polarisers. Indeed, an ulta wide angle lens and cpl don't go well together. As an avid landscape photographer this is a no-go. In that case a grad filter is the best solution but I can't imagine any company making a grad filter for the Pocker 3. Btw, subbed because mentioning the wide-angle issue with cpl makes you, at least in my book, honest. Cheers, Stephan

Great video! Not too advanced and not to simpel. A pleasant voice and not this raucous speed like so many other KZbinrs use, overloading ones ears. Hope you get even more followers in the time to come. All the best. Tor Bertel

Thanks for the informative video you posted 👍. Does the combined nd/pl filter make the same effect of cpl filter on sky and wide angle shots? If it make an effect, can we turn down the effects by rotating the circle?

Thanks! A combined ND/PL filter also has a polarizing effect, so polarization artifacts can be an issue. Like with a CPL, rotating the dial will change the amount of polarization and can increase or reduce artifacts. I haven't got any ND/PL filters myself, so I am not sure how much it will differ compared to a CPL.

@ thank you so much. Maybe I will go for individual ND filters and CPL separately, I didn’t like the effect on the sky when shooting in wide angles
