Does it have a dog door? I was wondering how well it works to let your dog observe and to deploy him.

They don’t come with a dog door, you can buy one from beavertail and it’s up to you to cut the hole and sew it on (which is why I didn’t do it) but it hasn’t been a problem since the dog likes to sit or peak from under the blind by the motor where I have the dog ladder

@@TheRyantanner thanks. I may try it out then decide if I want a dog door or not

What size beavertail blind is that?

I used the 1800

How’s the blind holding up? I have the same boat and I’m currently running a homemade blind which works but I’m looking to either buy a beaver tail or hard side
@TheRyantanner3 жыл бұрын
working out great, I would highly suggest it

Would you have done the 20’ one or stick with the 18’
@TheRyantanner3 жыл бұрын
@@NH_Trapper good question, if you do have the same boat I would highly suggest the 1800... the 4 shooting holes coincidently line up with the seats, (except the 3rd hole which aligns with the side of the console, just have to use a chair for that one) if you get the 2200 you have 5 shooting holes but they probably won't line up.

I'd like a boat that will handle big water for fishing and also shallow for ducks
@TheRyantanner3 жыл бұрын
yea so this is why I actually chose this particular boat, I fish lake superior in the summer and this will get me out there on any day that I'd want to be fishing. as for shallow, most my hunting is in great lakes and great lakes connected water so we don't have too much for big expansive wetlands, the boat will draft like 8" so 10" of water your fine but if its a huge shallow area you're gonna be pushing a long way, I don't think you can have a short shaft motor on this boat so you'll need at least 2.5-3' of water to use the motor

@@TheRyantanner Thank you for getting back to me. I’ll be fishing Lake Michigan, Erie, LOTW and duck hunting marsh and backwaters on the Mississippi River. Trying to get a rig that can do it all. If that boat had a jack plate on the motor it would maybe do the job

What HP outboard do you have on it and is it sufficiently powered for a full load of people and gear?

I have a 115SS, I can hit 35-40 mph with 4 guys and gear

I'm looking at the 186cc with a Suzuki DF140, albeit not the color I want, but its brand new and the price is right. How is using the seat behind the CC when running, can you see ok?

@@matthewreno8844 if you mean the side console- I can see fine, actually I need to duck my head down when its cold to take advantage of the windshield blocking the wind and I'm not a tall guy

How shallow can you run with that hull?
@TheRyantanner3 жыл бұрын
that depends what you mean by run? with the motor operating I'd say 3'. if I'm pushing the boat into cattails to setup for the hunt, 10" is enough to draft it
