This is my second e-bike. My first was a Lectric XP. I have basically put the same modes on the Polarna as I have on my XP. The seat, suspension seatpost, adjustable handlebar, auxiliary battery, road tires and freewheel are well worth it. They bring the comfort level up to a 1000 bucks worth. 👍

Great informative video Sonny. Did the rear wheel slip out without having to use the spreader frame tool you had to use on your Lectric XP? I need to make a tool like the one you designed for my Lectric XP. I tried the other guy's turnbuckle tool, but it would not spread it wider. It would just slip. So, I think your design tool would work better and stay in place while spread the frame with your tool. I wish I could get you to make me one of your spreader tools and I just pay you for it. Thanks for the great videos you post.

No, the Polarna does not have that issue. The rear wheel slips right off. You must have one of the earlier XP 1.0. It is my understanding is that Lectric corrected the issue with the rear wheel removal on later models. Sorry, DIY video on the spreader.

Sonny is that the same freewheel that you used on the XP?

No, the XP is a 7-speed freewheel and the Polarna is a 8-speed. The XP's replacement is an 11-28t and the Polarna replacement is a 11-32t.

The need to saw the freewheel removal tool could be a bridge too far me🤣 Is there a tool that could work without having to make this sort of modification?

An $8.49 tool, and the tool can still be used, you just have to use the wedge. You could cut the motor wire, but I choose to not take that route.

Just a heads up that the m5 model is NOT the same. It uses a cassette rather than a freewheel and the tool to remove it is a different one.
