The Zink technology is an absolutely brilliant idea. But this mod, like most of the other mods, is a luxury thing to buy. But I won't deny the fact that they would make awesome x-mas gifts.

I think they're missing visibility and reliability with people in markets like the US. Moto phones are really good, and Motorola is the 2° best selling company here in Brazil (Samsung is the first)
@YouwereWondering_TAW7 жыл бұрын
Lol, probably the only few things it doesn't have a mode for. But motorola does sells quite a lot of their budget phones so the company is not struggling like it did once. I really like this mod idea but they need to make it better and more mainstream, nowadays even smartphones cases have started to add mods of some kind, so i don't think people would pay for modularity anymore. Even essential phone with all that hype failed to make any impact with it, Hopefully we will see the technology evolving. I make tech contents with a unique style of presentation. If you got some free time please d give my channel a look. I will greatly appreciate it.

Have a Moto Z, love the ecosystem but seriously a mod is sometimes more expensive than a phone
@skagerstrom7 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's crazy. Especially since it won't work with the next phone. Might as well buy a "real" top end phone and a ink jet photo printer. Cheaper and better (minus the portability). The camera is probably better in the new top end phone than the Hasselblad sell out clip on camera :P

Sharif Hamid I got my projector free with my phone plan, many carriers can make deals. The battery pack and speaker were worth it in my opinion. The prices will drop eventually for these but newer phones are backwards compatible so the older mods will work on them.

The fact that you only have 500k+ subs and can match the production quality of those with over 1M is amazing really. Nice work. Also, damn. I just bought a Incipio Offgrid battery mod and a Soundboost 2 mod for my Z Play. Now I'm tempted to drop the $200 for this Polaroid mod.

I'm glad to see you made it to the exhibit! I think the Baker Library team did a great job showing the story of the company's foundations. When I went there, they were telling us that they were planning more exhibit's based on archives they received from Polaroid. As well, if you're interested, my Dad says the MIT Museum has a large collection of artifacts from the company, although he's not currently sure if they're on display.

That picture of the vintage Polaroid with the aluminum body and bellows? I owned that camera! My mom bought it for me used at a church garage sale, and I had to fix a few light leaks, but I got me deeper into photography than I had been before. It was a lot easier than dealing with wet developing photos from negatives which began doing about age 13, and I preferred B&W photos at the time because with film, you really did get finer detail that way. Not sure what happened to it years later after a house fire, but but if you come across an old Polaroid like that with the initials "PC" hidden inside and under the front plate, that was it! No, I don't need it back and you are welcome to keep it :)

Moto has a great idea that they need to extend further and make more affordable. The turnoff is the price. Kudos to you Mr. Mobile for reviewing the mods. I do have a question...has Lenovorola informed you why the Z phones can't have water/dust resistance? Not that I care, but they can have cases made for that like the old iPhones had cases with water/dust resistance.

MrMobile [Michael Fisher] - Back in the late 60s, my stepmother had the "Swinger"... Strictly B&W, no color film available when the camera first came out... No motorized picture extraction then... You had to manually pull the picture out, peel off the protective transparent overlay, and then set it on a flat surface while the light-sensitive chemicals on the emulsion did their thing... Color versions of the Swinger were launched in the early 70s, and the first motor-feed self-developing picture unit, the SX-70, came out in '74 or '75, which my stepmother also had at that time...
