I purchased the Moto Z 2 contingent on receiving the free mod, but Motorolla played a bait and switch. It refused to send the free module despite several phone calls and a bunch of paperwork. I would have purchased another phone - one that did not have all of the bloatware of the Moto Z 2 - had I known that I would not get the mod. Motorolla's action seriously downgraded my previously high level of trust in the company. Now, several years later, I see the mod is selling for under $50. I may cough it up to purchase it, but I will still think twice before purchasing another Motorolla phone.

marshal brown the mod has it's own battery. Though it doesn't last but a little over an hour on full brightness.

I use this All the time to stream movies on Netflix and other movie streaming service I just connect my phone's Bluetooth to my Bose portable speaker and keep the charging plug in on the phone and on the mod so I can watch movies all night
