City Pop was so vastly underrated. Look at this song like 45 years later. Still sound so good it’s silly. I’ve heard it really at least 500 times. But still makes me smile,little bit of goosebumps, and I want to be in my 20s dancing to it. Matter of fact your total reaction is about the same as mine. Still at nearly 67. I imagine if I saw this live at the time I’d actually just be mentally thinking please don’t stop the song. I’ve all the time in the world to savor this.

I didn't discover Plastic Love on KZbin. My girlfriend (now fiancee, and she's japanese) asked me if I knew it when started to play in a karaoke, where we went two years ago, in Shinjuku. She sang it quite well although her voice is lower... Even so, I must thank her for taught me this classic, 'cause within a few months I was already immersed in the city pop (and my style has always been heavy metal...). But it's so addictive, exciting, melancholic and warm at the same time, purely from the 80s, a type of music that instantly grabs you although you didn't live that epoch.

I saw this concert in the third row from the front. Mariya's long hair is hair extension. In the current band, saxophone player Hidefumi Toki has been replaced by his disciple Yota Miyazato. Two women in the chorus, Kumi Sasaki and Yurie Kokubu have also been replaced by younger women Haruna and Ena. Japanese top drummer Jun Aoyama died in 2013. I miss him. RIP.

Soprano saxophonist Hidefumi Toki, those in the know in Japan, unfortunately passed away recently(RIP). The drummer is Jun Aoyama. He also passed away in 2013(RIP). His son is Hideki, also a drummer of the world-famous BABYMETAL, Kami Band. Tatsuro, the bastard, has pulled all my favorite musicians into his band from my favorite fusion bands. Oh, that makes me mad. No wonder the music is so good, haha!
