Building the barn and adding the sides later is a great way to spread out the cost of the structure! Looks good!

Yes sir. We were blessed to get the metal and wood for free so that helped. I got about $25 in those walls. Very happy about that.

Good video Hank, when the time comes for me to build a pole barn I think i would like it closed in as well to somewhat help keep the elements out. And I am like you when it comes to organizing my straps and pretty much all my tools, just makes life easier when you need them next time around, have a great weekend.

I must have mild OCD because I can tolerate straps being wadded if I'm in a hurry, or don't want to deal with rolling up. Most of the time I want them rolled though. Having the sides closed in will protect your implements much better than the roof by itself will. New subscriber here too, by the way! Looking forward to watching some more videos!

My dad built actual walls for his pole barn then put tin on the walls. He used 2x6 top plate and bottom plate (think that’s what there called) and 2x4 studs and lathing. Then bolted them to the concrete with 1/2 inch bolts on the end walls. So far they haven’t moved.
@HamiltonvilleFarm4 жыл бұрын
Lol. That's impressive 👍 2x6 would've been nice to use for sure but free is always good😁
