Building the barn and adding the sides later is a great way to spread out the cost of the structure! Looks good!

Yes sir. We were blessed to get the metal and wood for free so that helped. I got about $25 in those walls. Very happy about that.

It's nice having the right equipment for the job. When you don't have the equipment you have to learn to improvise.

If you set a couple stacks of pallets on the deck before loading you could grab that steel off with the forks. Nice series on the pole barn project.

Good video Hank, when the time comes for me to build a pole barn I think i would like it closed in as well to somewhat help keep the elements out. And I am like you when it comes to organizing my straps and pretty much all my tools, just makes life easier when you need them next time around, have a great weekend.

That safety cage is becoming real handy lol that things awesome! Nice video as always! I enjoyed it! A pole barn/garage/metal building is on the homestead list up here. Not sure what I wanna do yet but eventually ill invest in one of the three!

I must have mild OCD because I can tolerate straps being wadded if I'm in a hurry, or don't want to deal with rolling up. Most of the time I want them rolled though. Having the sides closed in will protect your implements much better than the roof by itself will. New subscriber here too, by the way! Looking forward to watching some more videos!

My dad built actual walls for his pole barn then put tin on the walls. He used 2x6 top plate and bottom plate (think that’s what there called) and 2x4 studs and lathing. Then bolted them to the concrete with 1/2 inch bolts on the end walls. So far they haven’t moved.
@HamiltonvilleFarm
@HamiltonvilleFarm 4 жыл бұрын
Lol. That's impressive 👍 2x6 would've been nice to use for sure but free is always good😁

Hi Hank, I am in northern California, unfortunately everything it’s so expensive up her even that it’s so much wood around. I can’t find a pole barn kit for sale around here, would you share the specs of the metal structures so I can build them, or the place You bought the kit from?
