Just enough... 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 That's all I want in a home. One of the best homes I've seen on the Tube. Nice work, folks.

Beautiful! Thank you for the video tour it was great! I just bought a 5 acre lot with a 40x60 pole barn on it. It's about a year old but empty. Just cruising around youtube for ideas as we are turning it into a house and shop. Encouraging to see the results. You guys did great. Truly impressed.

A smart, modest, practical, self sufficient and cost efficient home. Most people are instead worried about "grand entrances", "curb appeal", and media rooms. Nice to see that there are still some authentic people left.
@ProjectsbyKnight3 жыл бұрын
Are you saying we don’t have curb appeal 😂 build small live large! Thanks for watching!!
@zod59663 жыл бұрын
@@ProjectsbyKnight Appeal is subjective. It appeals to me. It wouldn't appeal to so many looking to buy a McMansion these days. People are obsessed with what I call "shiny $hit". I appreciate your priorities.

Awesome place. Fantastic to do your own things in a rural setting which we can relate to also being on 10 acres. Fantastic woodwork around your property,I really admire it. One note to help your videos considerably is to think about a clip mic for more volume when you speak. Thanks again for the great video. 👍👍👍

I would love to know more about how you mill and dry your lumber/beams for your buildings... I have so many questions! We have the land and trees!
@ProjectsbyKnight4 жыл бұрын
Joe Schmidt we have a video called “Sawmill in Operation” that shows a little about the milling & sticking process. And then we had it in the shop with a little heat & fans to help it dry faster. I’d be glad to talk to you about our set up & answer any questions you have! Thanks for watching!

See this young man here? Now folks...this is a real man. I’m a gray beard now...man, 60 years passes fast. I made a living working with my hands. My Daddy taught me that if you’re going through this life as a working man, learn how to build things and fix things. A real man is an independent man. He will imagine, plan and get busy. A real man loves a simple life and makes things happen. Yep...this young fellow is a real man. I imagine I’m a lot like his Dad. I don’t know this man, but one thing is for sure...I like and respect him.

How much did the land cost and what was the acreage? I'm really loving this house, me and my fiance were looking into building a pole barn because it was cost effective and they can look this beautiful! Did you guys do much on your own or was it primarily built?
@ProjectsbyKnight3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We built it ourselves so the cost doesn’t include labor & we already owned the property but land costs vary so much depending on the area. We made a cost video if you want to check it out but prices have gone up since then & also prices will be different in different areas. But we’re really happy with our build & it was definitely cost effective! We highly recommend pole barn houses!! Thanks for watching!!

@ProjectsbyKnight3 жыл бұрын
David Tacey the original building is 40x60, of that the house side is 40x24 and the shop side is 40x36 (and then we added an additional shop 20x30). We don’t have great plans but if you go to he very end of our “Pole Barn Home Tour EP 10” video we added pictures of the house plans downstairs & upstairs. So if you’re welcome to screen shot them & check it out. We might do a video showing our floor plan better if people are interested. Thanks for watching!
