this is really awesome! I’m looking for land now to do something similar but land is like 170k where I’m at for a 1/3 an acre which sucks. lol but I’m looking at using a steel barn as a base to help save some cost. Did you ever consider using steel instead of wood? And if so, was there something that made you decide on the wood?

Really love the progress you have made. Ive been watching for awhile. Im really looking forward to you building a back patio! I know your sitting on the couch and looking out those double doors lol. You could have a sweet patio and with the hill going down you could have some good height to look out. But maybe you will have to take out some trees?? I cant tell how far out you want to build the patio out. Thanks for the content!

You got me into the concept of barndominiums with the first video you posted of your house. Glad to see how it's coming along! I somehow knew you'd eventually get rid of the ramp. It's cool but I can see it losing its luster as opposed to having more space for toys.

Hey Sir, what type of heat do you use in garage? I see you are in PA, I am also. So I could not run water in my shop since I do not have a constant heat source. I burn wood, and do not have insulation. So it gets cold when the fire goes out. Thanks. Nice complex!

Love how your ideal came together, you def have a ultimate bachelor pad, that second floor will come in handy when you finally bring in a partner, because she going to need her own closet space! Trust me I know lol.. Which will leave you with space for a few little ones.. And the fact that you can always build out a little bit if you need to.. Love to see the younger gen take life by the balls and just do it!! I come from a construction back ground and every time I watch a young family or single person through up a beautiful barndo I say man I should have gone that route 20 years ago!! Absolute banger of a place my man! Were you able to secure a home loan for the initial cost? Not sure how that all works, I’m assuming you pay out of pocket for upgrades or HEL’s
@Kordare
@Kordare 3 ай бұрын
Thank you! I used a traditional loan but I saved up a lot to keep the loan amount about half of the total project cost (including land). A construction loan would be a way to do it. I made sure I paid off the land before applying for the loan to build which will help your overall balance sheet.

Now that you have shown everyone what you have built and what you own , you need to think about security to keep all that . German shepards are preferd . along with Malinois , or maybe a pair of Dobermans . Fences and gates are a must have .Cameras and electronics are only afffective after the fact . Locks can all be defeated . Dogs keep out even the most serious trespassers with good intensions or bad ones .

@@Kordare wow I’m really surprised the stock transmission is holding up, from what I have heard they don’t really like to handle much. If I were to upgrade the transmission do you have any recommendations that could hold 600-650 hp? Right now I’m fbo cammed and I’m having a hard time finding what a good trans would be.

You seem like a decent guy and you should be proud of what you've made there; its fantastic. Just wish you weren't one of those guys who thinks everyone wants to hear a modified exhaust system in their neighborhood, town, state, region....
