The one in AITD(2008) is the same as the first three. He disappeared 13 years after AITD 3 (and his AITD3 kinda looks like his AITD(2008) appearance minus the long hair) which can explain the differences.

I know it was 1992 and 3D graphics weren't as mindblowing as they are today, but that is the BEST fire graphic I have ever seen in a video game. Who else thought it was amazing. Me.

You can still explore the house, but there are very few changes. All monsters (including the unkillable ones) are dead and all unlit rooms are now lit.

Don't forget that Pregzt was a pirate. Maybe he intended (before turning into that tree thing) that this door would only open with HIS hook (which would explain why we find it on the altar).

A faster way to get out of the caves is to go to the maze and use the hook on the door next to the entrance.

Did you read the book just before the dark maze? Pickford was only an alias used by Pregzt after he retired from Piracy.

actualy you can take a much faster way back through the maze, there is another door you can open with the hook there that brings you to the spot where the spider-rat was.

I found it always amusing that the first item you find in the game (the lamp) is the item that will kill Pregzt. I tried nearly everything back in the days to kill him and the lamp was the last thing I expected to work.

Are you using DOSBox? If so, you can augment the CPU cycles (using Ctrl+F12). 9000-10000 cycles works for me.

Yeah. It's more of a puzzle than a battle like One-Eye-Jack from AITD2. Impossible when you don't know how, but ridiculously easy when you know how.

Maybe yours isn't lit (or went out when you jumped into the water). If that's the case, simply use the lighter.

Yes. If you fall off the bridges (if it's high), you'll die, even if Pregzt is dead.

Maybe your lamp is out. Try to lit it with the lighter before throwing it. Mine was already lit.

graphics don't make the game. this game any many other games with hardly any graphics are still more fun than the average snorefest fps games out now.
