I can't comment much as a current Polestar 2 owner, but I will make my say on how much I feel you have helped me feel GREAT about my Polestar purchase (which I will take delivery of in 4 days!). I learned SO much from your experience with electric cars, the P2 and long distance travel - THANK YOU!!!

All the Polestar content is great. Not many people doing content on them...I have a Tesla but I'm even kinda tired of the Tesla content overload. I like when you break them into episodes of 30 minutes to an hour. You had great luck on your trip with EA.

Thanks for the feedback! Regardless of what brand I own, I will continue to test EA’s network on trips since I currently have the CCS adapter.

Great video series! I’ve done the Charlotte to Chicago drive and back my 2021 Polestar 2 about five times - cool to see you hitting the same stops. The EA station in Kodak TN at the Harley and Chop House is my favorite stop too. I really enjoy road-trips in my 2

Do Polestar Space (dealer) negotiate on price or fixed price pretty much?

Thanks Joe, these videos are great. I just purchased a P2 and I would love to do a road trip from the mid west to Florida so your Disney trip gives me a great idea of where to stop and charge.

Thanks for the feedback. I also have a VW ID.4 road trip to Disney that uses a different route so you can compare which works for you.

Fun series. We've really enjoyed our Polestar 2. Ours has the plus and pilot packs, so we do have the heat pump. It would be interesting to see if that would add to the range. We don't really do a lot of long road trips, but for a daily driver it's a great car. You have to have a different mind set when owning an EV, the charging stops are just part of the journey, after a while you get to almost enjoying them as a nice break!

Did you and Christina part ways? She usually accompanied you during your ID.4 road trips. Enjoyed the series, I don't have a preference for either format. Longer videos I will pause and watch in chunks effectively making my own episodes. Shorter ones, I will watch when convenient. I'm selfishly sad you got a Tesla, there are so many other dedicated Tesla channels it was nice seeing road trips in a non-Tesla vehicle, on the other hand I'm happy you were able to jump into something that made more financial sense. Looking forward to more road trip videos!

I think it was a good idea to own a Tesla for a year to be able to better compare future EV’s. No worries as most of my content will still be reviews etc of non Teslas

Great job 👏. I actually like shorter videos. So this concept is better. I have an ID.4 2022 with the 3.1 software version. And when I am at below 20%, I get 173kw peek. I travel for work and 8 months with the car I have 32k on her. I don't go as low as you do, but I like not letting it go below 15%. Within 20 minutes or less I have been able to get up to 70%.

I enjoyed this series of videos! I am also following another individual that is traveling in a,Lucid Air from Connecticut to Florida. His charging experience has been terrible to say the least. But the Lucid has been the most comfortable vehicle he has ever owned. He has had a couple Teslas, VW I4, and Ionic 5.

OMG, Polypore / Celguard! That is one of my fav spots. Carowinds is a place I frequent and if you don't mind the walk (I don't) you can get there on foot from that charge spot. Look me up next time you are in town.

Nice work Joe. I enjoy all your videos. I agree that 30 minutes is an optimum length. I like the thought process you go through, it would be even nicer if you discuss more about what options are available, charge long and go to "A", charge short and go to "B". I know sometimes you did, but I would like to see more of that, as you asked... BTW, I too have a 2022 P*2 LRDM, but I have the Pilot and Plus packages. I drive to Vegas monthly from Orange Co CA, that's the only roiad trips I have done... so far...Keep up the good work and thanks again.

Good series, Joe! I think if you keep each episode to under 30 minutes is best. BTW do you still have the Polestar, or did you switch to a Tesla. Will watch the next one👍

Love your video's, but keep in mind that the you are showing power delivered to your car, not what was actually put in the battery. On average after checking some math based upon SoC etc, you seem to be putting in about 85-90% of what the EA station says it delivered. At Fisher Indiana you said you added 44kWh based upon the EA station but if you do the SoC math, that would mean your battery would have to be at least 85kwh. The 44kwh was actually likely closer to 38kWh to the battery.

Yes, I’m aware of that so the efficiency is calculated based on percent of battery used. And kWh added is to show how much the charging session would cost. Sorry, I realize I should’ve said this in the video.

@@EVMotoring No reason to say sorry keep up the great work and when you want to do a parallel drive let me know I have a 2019 model 3 performance. That would be fun, I am in Chicagoland not far from O'Hare airport.

Thanks for these videos Joe. As a fellow Chicagoan, I'm curious as to how you dealt with any support issues? As far as I know there is no Polestar service here and you need to go to Detroit due to local Volvo dealers litigation with Polestar. Did you require any service? What are your plans for that? Thanks.
@EVMotoring
@EVMotoring Жыл бұрын
Thankfully I never had a service so it worked for me but yes, that is definitely a concern. I would recommend the Volvo XC40 or C40 if you have similar concerns as they are the same battery and motors.
