The unspoken reality is that the Mercedes pays a very high aesthetic price for that lower drag coefficient. That key-card reader piggy backing on the inductive charging pad is a major mistake. Apple CarPlay not being onboard initially is a debit too. Either use the card key reader or charge your phone on the induction pad, buyers expect more at that six figure price point. The biggest drop of the ball is no LiDar for all the early adopters of this vehicle already paying up for the (almost) loaded launch edition. To me that is kind of the "killer app" for the Polestar 3 and without it the grade must be: Incomplete. Promising platform, high price and missing major features for an impressive vehicle that is almost there but not quite ready for prime time. Bicyclist or just simply cyclist both work. I enjoyed the review. Thanks.

Thanks for the comment. I might have not mentioned it good enough, but you only need to put the key card in that place when starting the car afterwards you can remove it and place your phone there.

I dont think LiDAR is needed in a drivers car. If you want self-driving there is a perfect option: a taxi or a bus. I think Polestar did the right thing by opting out on LiDAR. Dont get me wrong, it is cool tech and great for security, but that is more of a Volvo selling point. Also, I have an iPhone and Polestar 2 for >3 years, I have never seen the point of Apple Carplay, which is available in P2, when you have Google Automotive in the car. Price: Polestar 3 is a bargain when you compare with comparable German cars similarly speced.

Dude You do have the led light strip. It’s on all the launch editions. It’s only visible at night

@@windowman9665 thanks for clarifying, I did not know that it was a led bar, I thought it was a golden element. We did not get to see the car at night so I did not notice this.

In a few years this common "iPad on the dashboard" interior design is going to look so ridiculously dated.
@NonstopDrivingReviewsАй бұрын
What do you think, how will the interior look like in the near future ?
@jayem8981Ай бұрын
Ok boomer. Guess you missed the memo that this “iPad on the dashboard” design has been around for a decade and a half now, and isn’t slowing down.

it is not an iPad, it is an Android tablet with Google Automotive. For the future, I think we may have - more not less displays in cars, to watch movies in the backseat for instance (already exist yes I know but not common) - more uses of speech control, which is already great in Polestar cars Speech control makes you keep your eyes focused on the road, and your hands on the wheel
