The stupid thing about the no rear windscreen is that if you’re following a car you can often get a sense of what is going on ahead of them through the rear windscreen. I hate following a van etc for that reason. Honestly, this just seems completely unnecessary.

I love that British people say "saloon" instead of "sedan." It always makes me imagine the car walking into an old western-style bar and letting people know this town ain't big enough for the both of us
@leangrypoulet75232 ай бұрын
For us older Brits, pubs used to be divided into two separate areas, often with different entrances, called the ‘Public’ bar and the ‘Saloon’ bar. The Saloon bar was the smarter of the two, often with carpet on the floor, slightly nicer material on seats/benches, and even curtains. The public bar was ‘spit n sawdust’. The saloon bar usually charged more for a pint, as much as 1-2p more. But in essence the word comes from the French word ‘salon’ - a sitting room or lounge, which is why it was used for the smarter part of the bar but also larger, smarter and more specious cars.👍

Not having a single button to switch between custom (user defined) and sport is dumb. They need to add that in a software update. One button, one click. I don’t want to have to navigate through screens. Ideally that button would be on the steering wheel but it’s too late for that. Also I agree about the key fob. It needs buttons. I mean most of the time I just use keyless entry but sometimes I need the buttons e.g. my partner is trying to get into the car and I’m still locking the front door, I can just click the button and she can get into the car. Seems cheap to remove the buttons. Also a new key fob makes the whole experience of owning the car nicer. I have an Audi and I like the key fob. It’s solid with metal parts and feels appropriate given the quality of the car. That fob that you showed us looked like a brick of plastic. Apart from those complaints though, that car looks fantastic. Good work polestar.

My fear is that when looking at the rear through the mirror, normally you see things at the distance they are which means you focus at them at a distance. @JeremyLawrence-imajez2 ай бұрын
Yup, that was my thought exactly after testing one. You can't quickly glance in mirror, you have to look and consciously refocus, which doesn't sound like much, but it is jarring and feels/is markedly slower. To make things worse the mirror feels much closer to you than normal which exacerbates the issue if you are long sighted. The mirror in our Enyaq is significantly further away.

Sure, if you put your foot down, the dual motor would take off, but when just driving around like normal they both felt tired, with little excitement and fun. I also did not feel much difference between the single and dual motor in everyday city driving. They should definitely have a Sport mode button. Optimally synchronizing EV dual motors drives is essential to ensure the wheels turn at precisely the correct speed is crucial for a smooth and stable ride. Any mismatch in speed or torque between the wheels can lead to issues such as uneven tire wear, handling problems, and a generally uncomfortable driving experience. Also ensuring that the inner and outer wheels turn at different speeds during cornering is essential for the optimum performance of a vehicle. This difference is managed by various systems in EVs, enhancing safety, handling, and overall driving experience.

You don’t need a rear windshield because our “never gonna break” rear view camera will do the job and “never break”, you know because it’s cutting edge technology that will “never break”. Why need a rear windshield when electronics “never break”.

Works great in warm countries, but here in Sweden we get -20° in the winter. No buttons on the remote, what if the electrical system fails. Again, in the winter doors freeze shut if you don’t use anti freeze oil. Leaver for the fron bagage compartment, is it still the 80’s? Laggy screen, how do you change windscreen defroster on the go? Soon enough there won’t be a windscreen, just a huge 60” display. -kan man få en kopp kaffe?

Tom the best Polestar 4 review, jour videos are so entertaining, keep it up with great work. Can't wait for Polestar to put 2 on a dedicated EV platform, and would love to see Polestar car like the Volvo S60 Cross Country :)

Thumbs up for you to go back to Polestar and say something is wrong, and then you actually got another car (back in UK?). If they managed to fix a big part of the problems you adressed then by the time they deliver to costumers they should be even greater :) I am definately getting one. I want the cromatic roof though so I have to wait until 2025.

Why do car manufacturers insist on these unnecessary features in EVs? The door handles, no rear windows, etc.

PPF for the roof. Got it. Double g PPF perhaps, no one wants to discover how much that is to replace.

Not very honest video, you should have clearly stated that it was not a fully working car, and that you review an updated one on minute 15:10, which is way better.

So, the numbering. 1 was the first, 2 was the second, 3 was the... It might not allow you to shortcut, but it's purely logical.

You just had to do a Uranus joke, didn't you :D great review by the way!

Will be just as bad as the EV30. Thousands have major issues. I’ve just returned mine as it’s not fit for purpose. Certainly not the Volvo of old for longevity and solid well thought out design. Shocking brand

Is it a firmer ride than the P2?
@rubba68183 ай бұрын
No, it is both softer and sportier (faster) and you can select firm, mid or soft suspension on the screen.

With all those cameras, does it have Sentry Mode or Dashcam mode?

I own the Polestar 2 performance pack (or my own version of it with a set of Heico coilovers and OZ wheels and Pilot Sport 4ses). I think so far its the only Polestar I like and want to keep. Other than not needing any bigger the performance/range bump is not worth the extra money. Also am not a fan of SUVs in general. So far I like the Polestar 4s over other EVs in its class (other than the Macan EV), but I don't see the making the monetary sacrifice to jump from my Polestar 2 to this. On top of liking the Polestar 2 looking more like an evil Volvo, this looks more like an appliance. I think I'd rather look for a second-hand Macan EV in the future though.

14:17 yeah I was never confident that something like this could be sporty. Its a daily, a commuter car. Will most likely have great road control but you wouldn’t buy this if you wanted a vehicle to he occasionally fun
