If this video is true, then why do my Polestar 2 brake pads get stuck on the rotors after it sits in the garage after a drive in the rain? I have to forcibly touch the throttle to "pop" the car loose out of park. A visit to Polestar service did not fix the issue. I dread when it rains because my fear is that the brake pads will soon one day pop off the calipers. :(

My BMW 3-series always did the same thing. I believe it is more frightening for the consumer than actually dangerous for the car considering many different makes and models have the same behaviour.

@tobias_dahlberg interesting that I have owned 7 M cars and 2 AMG's. Also several other makes and never this issue.

@@punksjutgbd I don't know what makes it happen, all I can say is I have experienced it in multiple cars before.

@@tobias_dahlberg it's possible there is an under-estimation of my problem. It's not a small "pop", but a large one. The car is really stuck and when it breaks free there are loud chunk noises from the rotors until the pad material wears out. This usually lasts a few blocks or if I undergo intentional hard braking. The problem obviously is known since there is a service bulletin at Polestar. It's still unresolved however, so watching this video gave me anxiety.

@@punksjutgbd Ah, in my BMW it was also stuck and I had to apply a little torque and it would break free with a little noise but not as dramatic as that.

My Polestar 2 is unfortunately not problem free. Screens keep rebooting, backup camera stops working at times, gps/ mobile connection not working at times, all kinds of warnings at times and recently a charging issue out of the blue. Polestar can’t seem to find the issues . I had to initiate bug reporting myself. Meanwhile I have a car that is unpredictable and for no reason hits the brakes or activates accident avoids systems yet Polestar is not willing to buy back the car and get me into a new one.
