As the mayor of a crime-ridden town loosens the restrictions on joining the police academy in order to help get more cops on the street, all manner of oddball characters enlist to join the force. David Graf was just hilarious as Tackleberry, every scene with him was just amazing, he was a great comedic actor, my favorite out of everyone in Police Academy, loved that guy, damn shame he's been gone for awhile now.

In September 1989, Arthur Metrano A( Lt./Capt./Cmdt. Mauser) broke his neck and seriously injured his spinal cord after falling off a ladder while working on his house. Initially a quadriplegic he later regained the use of his arms and legs, and was able to walk short distances with the help of crutches, although he regularly used a motorized wheelchair. He died in 2021. RIP(All those actors in Police Academy who have passed away).

I had the good fortune to bump into GW Bailey at an Irish bar in midtown Manhattan one snowy afternoon in January 2014. Didn’t know who he was at first because I obviously wasn’t expecting to see him so I just sat down alongside him at the bar the bar was empty apart from me and him we ended up buying each of the beers until late into the night. After a couple of hours I kind of thought he felt familiar so I asked him where I knew him from and he said MOVE IT Mahoney. That was it what a sound guy is. He likes his drink a bit too much but he’s a sound guy.

This series was one of the funniest films to come out in the 80's. The cast was filled with iconic actors. Micheal Winslow, Bubba Smith, Steve Guttenberg, Leslie Easterbrook, GW Bailey, who I LOVED from M*A*S*H!, and so many more. But the two movie characters that got me was Zed and the little Mr. Sweetchuck. When they were in the gym and Zed swings the bag, here comes Sweetchuck and 💥💥 there he goes. Then Zed jumps out and scares Sweetchuck and again 💥 booming kick by Sweetchuck tennis shoe goes flying right into Zed's mouth! OMG those two were BRILLIANT!
