Let me tell you all a story: My uncle, Richard Herzog, was a Deputy of the Sheriff's Office of King's County in Washington State. One day, while running down a thief, he was ordered to NOT use his weapon. In the ensuing confrontation, he was shot and killed by the dirtbag. Are there undeserved deaths and harassment at the hands of bad cops? Yes. Are these dickheads the majority? Absolutely not. As with any group, there is always the minority that makes the rest of them look bad. I did not know Richard very well, but it always pisses me off in a special way whenever I see such ignorant, disrespectful disregard for those who work so hard, risk their lives, and sacrifice so much for complete strangers.

I was looking this while my nearly five year old child plays beneath me. She didn't react to the shooting noise because she don't know anything about guns and shootings at all. Knowing other kids at her age needs to understand this can be lifethreatening for themselfes or others tears my heart. I'm very happy she can grow up in a safe country. When she is older she will learn soon enough, her grandpa was a police officer.

If you want to work in a crime laboratory as a Criminalist you will need at least a 4-year degree in science (such as Biology, Chemistry or Forensic Science). ... Some agencies require you to be a sworn police officer before becoming a Crime Scene Investigator-most do not.

I think it's important to discipline police officers as the discipline in martial arts; nonetheless, keep them away as to train them as if they were in the military. The Japanese police force is a good example of this.

Compared to the corps? Yes definitely. If you have USMC basic training experience this will be like another day at the gym. That's why im conflicting with myself whether to join the corps first then after a few years join the academy.

Kryptid Smiles well I was kinda talking about the experience in whole of being a Marine infantryman, not just basic but it all starts from there though. join the Marine Corps first, it's is pointless to join the academy if you aren't yet planning to go into a position in civillian law enforcement. You'll be set up better after the Marines trust me.
