Does any other country have such a diverse fleet as ours? Some of the undercover cars are amazing and you'd never even consider putting blue lights on it. Meanwhile in the US their idea of undercover is the standard Dodge Charger with no livery or light bar. Still pretty obvious it's a police car.

Believe it or not, that isn't even the max, where I live my license (standard license) is rated for 26,000 pounds. That is medium duty, think F-600 and up. The 450 is commercial but its not too far from the average. Idk why but we just like big vehicles. Also, the presidential Limos aren't true Cadillacs, their purpose built armored limos with a Cadillac facia, more akin to a tank than a car.

What’s your thoughts on the current reports with the police BMW’s not being able to be driven above the speed limit. Is that why a lot of police forces seem to be moving to the Volvos. My police for in Cambridgeshire seem to only have new Volvos and no new BMWs

Not all BMWs are restricted, the new ones are fine. However, BMW’s lack of willingness to accept responsibility (or even accept there’s a problem) is what’s sending fleet managers to Volvo and elsewhere to get their cars.
