I really cannot believe how rude people are, especiaally when they get into a crowded situation.
@elisabethbenders-hyde528611 ай бұрын
It has been pointed out that the group conformity of a crowd is influenced by the behavior of its least disciplined members. If some members begin to panic in a situation and run for exits, a stampede can follow. When public members are rude to a guard or annoy a horse, it permits other members to do likewise. Then when you have a foreign crowd unaware of the rules of social behavior of their host country, or unable to read the clear warnings posted, you quickly have an unruly and rude mob. That said, I have great admiration for the calm and even-handed way the police deal with the tourists, but understand when a Royal Guard has had enough of the stress tourists place on his horse and bellows at them. Also, it is very hard for a horse to stand still for such a length of time, and takes a lot of control and training. No wonder they just quit sometimes.

30:16 "What's wrong with him?" Well, sir, he's a guard, just in case you'd forgotten, and guards have a job to do, which is to protect the thing or person they're there to protect; in this case, namely, the King of England. Therefore, what is 'wrong' with him is that he's simply trying to do his job. I understand how much revenue tourists bring in to the country, but it stuns me at their behaviour around our guardsmen of the King's Horseguards! Would they be allowed to get so close to guards in their home countries? I don't think so! So why do they feel it's acceptable to get so close to ours?

While I have lived in cities with small areas left alone, most history is lost beyond just a few decades. Of course, CA hasn't been around as a state for as long as where I'm about to move. I was very excited to visit Scotland and England and marvelled at the awesome structures that dated back hundreds of years; structures created by man's hand alone, not machines. She's my favorite horse from the Blues&Royals (she and Kingston, who looks exactly the same as her, only he has 2 white socks, instead of 4, like her). She is definitely a cross with Shire, the Shire characteristics are very prominent (the thick neck, the thick mane although it's cut short, the constitution, "the feathers" are missing from her feet, but they've either been trimmed or they don't exist, as she is a cross, etc). I would take her, and Radford from the Lifeguards, home🥰🥰🥰🥰 I absolutely love draught horses. The trooper who was the gateman in this video, i've seen him many times before, but only as a gateman (maybe he's been a boxman but i've never personally seen him as such). He gave me the chuckles🤣🤣🤣, he always does, when he shouts at tourists. He never misses an opportunity to do so. He's probably my favorite trooper from the Blues&Royals. He's the no-nonsense "shouting chief" en titre.🤣🤣🤣I've seen him definitely utter something under his breath after the turned but i couldn't understand what he said. Maybe something along the lines of" Good, you're all out of my way"🤣🤣

Umm they DO share the horses names…..how do you think John got the names for his list? What they have requested is that the individual horse numbers not be paired in videos with the names. That’s fair enough and in fact they’d be perfectly within their rights to not share ANYthing with us. Just as with the troopers names, there are security issues to be taken into account here, as both the troopers and their mounts are serving military staff. Be happy we get what we do, considering the touchy international situation at present.

I love that fellow, “happiest tourist of the day” - he and the lady with him were delightful!

I love the Trooper on the left John. He doesn't miss a trick does he. And what a funny curious horse he's on. lol

John we are now in a snowstorm which is expected to leave eight to twelve inches of snow on the ground in New York City.

I hope you are ok! It looks fine in London, overcast here in Sydney, no chance of snow. Stay safe over there!❤

Oh god 😱 Tourons some of them act as if " petting," the horse is an tourist given right, cos their tourists its part of their right as a tourist to do so. They paid for this holiday. Plus in my experience I've found two things if you don't pay for something:- 1) you dont respect the privilege of coming to Horse Guards. 2) Tourons not all of them, to me don't care if they push others out of the way to get their pictures amd pet the horse. Then they rush away to the mexyt tourist spot. So they can ✅ that site pff their list. Ok Rant over. Sorry everybody.

I can’t get over people just standing in front of others while they are trying to take pictures. How rude, they need to stop people from touching the horses. It’s not even healthy for them. People seem to think they are experts on touching and scratching the poor horses head. It’s obvious this is their first time being in front of a horse.

Is it an illusion, or are all the troopers completely crazy adorably cute!

No, it's not an illusion...they are all very young and handsome. Some new faces here as well, I think 🥰 Some proud families about...

It must be so much nicer for the guards when they are mounted on a placid horse like Indiana or Tipper rather than one that is constantly fidgeting and bouncing their rider around like some of the horses do. Oh yes and the Blues and Royals are my favourites as well. That said the Life Guards’ horses have some real characters

When everyone walks round with an idiot proof, point it and press it camera in their hands how come some tourists have stand by the horse long enough to have their portrait painted.
