So if something is inaccurate if I understand you properly. You want to say your accurate perception of it but you need to be careful not to get aggressive or agitated no matter how they are acting.

For me, I passed all the exams and background investigations, actually am set to start tomorrow with a local department and will be attending the Academy at the end of the month, but my only piece of advice, when they ask “list all police encounters” legit list all police encounters. I named every time I was pulled over, given a written warning, and every interaction I could recall, but forgot to mention ethics violations at a University I attended and their campus police wrote me up(nothing criminal) and that I was given a verbal warning for speeding. I didn’t omit it hoping to hide it, just genuinely forgot about it as I didn’t receive a paper trail for that interaction and it was over 10 years ago. They got me on that, pulled up the report and I instantly went into damage control, only to be told “you didn’t even do anything bad, but why did you not admit to it” and it appeared like I was lying, when I genuinely didn’t mean to or intended to. Just be an open book and list everything…that’s my advice.

I'm about to start my background here in a few days. I've already gotten through the oral board, cvsa, integrity interview and psych exam. My background is squeaky clean, I'm worried they'll think I'm lying lol

I was fortunate enough to get both bad cop and good cop who were female officers. Background interview ended up being a bit of a contest in experience and constantly attempted to get under my skin during the interview since i told them i was infantry in the marines who got alot of good training working with raiders and conducted joint task operations with police swat. Even tried competing with me on who got hazed worse sort of in a mocking or condensenting way afterward realized they were trying to get a rise out of me. admited to illegal stuff but explained my side and showed shame for my actions but still passed the background interview but was removed from the recruiting process since i wasn't able to get certain paperwork turned in on time honestly happy i didnt get hired dont think it would have been the right place for me.

Thank you Frank! This video was awesome, you’ve mentioned in other shorts/videos that if you did make a mistake in your background info to let your investigator know before he/she contacts you ? wouldn’t this cause a red flag even though you contacted them ?

Hi Frank! Had an interview regarding my background today, I think I was too honest and had admitted to having too much to drink and getting behind the wheel when I shouldn't have before. I thought honesty was the way to go but i think I put my foot in my mouth on that. We had our polygraph before the background investigation. Do they usually go off what alreadt told the polygrapher or do i have to go back through the interrogation lol

Everything is connected. So the investigator will probably ask you again and your answers on your phs need to match your polygraph screening form.

If a question is asked about medication on diagnosis then yes. But if nothing is ask you can wait until the medical.

Some of these questions are stupid and could be clarified through a hair test. I don’t get it. Just run a drug test and you will know what the person has been exposed to.
