Some people will natraully take to the job and serve with honor and respect for years, some are bound to abuse the power but as I said name your profession to cast the 1st stone on all good officers for any bad, dont you have crappy coworkers (doyg, ok its doug we all know why i didn't want to name names but you know why doug and its you fucking blah blah blockchain). Great video. I used your older videos when I had just started and they helped me a lot, not just with specific items to carry but WHY you want to carry things. One thing I carry on my vest that I would never be without is a pair of trauma sheers. Great for when you need to cut bloody clothes off someone or other jobs where you won’t want to use your knife since you can just throw the sheers out after.

Just wanna say your my favorite person who’s actually functioning & learning on duty actively so your advice is respected & appreciated by me for sure. I also appreciate the give always especially now being in my late 20’s & already having medical issues I’ve had stomach / lower bowl cancer at 20. I’m not sure what’s going on but lately I haven’t been able to workout, been losing so much muscle mass & just walking from my car to walmart yesterday it literally felt like I was going to die like my lungs were caving in & someone was just choking me. My throat was even hurting & I just stood there for 3mins before I could start shopping. Hope I win your latest giveaway (I think it’s you) But I really want/need body armor & carrier. I’m afraid of something happening before I find out & fix whatever is happening to my body it’s scary not knowing why you can’t breath without any sighs of injury or illness. Thanks for the uploads & be safe out there.

I recommend you put an ICE card [in case of emergency card] in the left pocket, the ambulance is trained to look there because it's also where they check first when someone has cardiac arrest. So it's the standard first check place for medics.

Hey Tommy, I'm gonna recommend some good businesses who I have no qualms supporting for those who need it: RecoilGunworks - an Indiana gun shop run by a bunch of former LEOs who got their FFLs. They got the best deals on PD trade-in Glocks and PD surplus ammo. They sell to anybody regardless of credentials, too. A good source for ammo in this trying times. SOLATAC - a Louisiana paramedic who's been in the line of duty for nearly 2 decades, he has some excellent IFAKs for the most reasonable prices I've ever seen. I can wholeheartedly recommend him alongside North American Rescue and SkinnyMedic's store AtlanticTactical - a reputable Safariland dealer who has some excellent deals on body armor carriers as well as guns and ammo, Safariland pouches for your duty belt, etc. Their customer service has been very good in all my times with them Galls - The secret weapon of people in the line of duty, if you need anything uniform related they will hook you up Rite In The Rain - these people make notebooks that are completely waterproof. I live in Texas, where it's humid as hell and when it rains it rains for 3 days straight. These all weather notebooks are the only thing I run in the line of duty now, and I can highly recommend them to anybody who works outdoors.

I have that problem partially. I carry a level 3 and sometimes it will click the thumb release on me. I'm thinking about going to a thigh holster but because of low back pain. Have you noticed any difference in your back after switching? Thanks.
@bobb21834 жыл бұрын
@@2ndAmendment-Jeffrey After using the hip holster for many years. I think the thigh holster takes a bit of pressure off your hip and back during the shift, particularly when sitting in the car. Don't have the butt of the gun pushing against the back of the seat twisting you a bit when wearing the hip holster, if you know what I mean. Worth a try if you have some back issues might help. The soft body armour we were recently issued is fairly heavy so could be the cause of future back/hip problems. Take care mate.

How can you, OR SHOULD YOU EVEN try to make the panels more loose, flexible, more comfortable by some process that doesn't affect the panel's reliability and abilities? Like rolling it, folding it, wear it as much as possible? How can we make our soft panels less stiff without damaging or otherwise rendering their abilities less protective? How long is soft armor good for, the set i was issued is 2001 and with my new outer carrier I don't have anyway to put a plate in it
@freefieldtraining4 жыл бұрын
Here is some expired armor we shot so you have a frame of refrence: kzbin.info/www/bejne/laTFf5KPa9OhpcU Soft armor is generally warrantied for 5 years. However, most testing reveals that armor as old as 20 years still stops all the rounds it was designed to. What you have to worry about though is backface deformation. The standards in this regard have come leaps and bounds from what they were in 2001. While your vest in all likelihood (there are no guarantees obviously) will do just fine stopping rounds I recommend upgrading so that if you are shot your internal organs will not burst causing you to die anyway. This was a much larger problem back in the day than it is today with modern armor.
