The car listed as a 1943 is actually a 53. And the 1944 is really a 55 ford. The 1950 is a 55 chevy, and the 55 is a 57 chevy. Still enjoyed it. 😉

This song is actually pretty fitting. In case anyone doesn't know what it's called, the name of the artist, or how old it is. It's called "Highway Patrol" by Junior Brown from 1993.
@NintendoDrunkie12 жыл бұрын
Depending on condition, they can usually be stripped of police equipment and sold as used cars. Some of these old cars still have the spot lights on the driver side door.
@akneegrow61522 жыл бұрын
I think it depends on state and local laws, some places do allow for some of the equipment like the sirens and lights and I don't see why not tbh. No one's gonna think you're a real cop when you're driving on a 1993 Chevrolet Caprice in 2022.

That Record But that wasn’t the standard. If you watch the famous videos from New York in the 1910 and 1920, cars travelled mostly at about 10-15 mph. Same as now, commercial cars can push about 180-200 mph, but max speed in cities is about 20-50 mph. Back in 1920 max speed allowed in most cities was 10 mph, because cars didn’t have airbags or any type of crash protection at all, car crashes back then were often deadly even at very low speeds. I remember a celebrity who died in a car crash in the 20’s at about 20 mph.

@lancasterritzyescargotdine26022 жыл бұрын
Chris So did I. You could easily tell them apart! The pinnacle of automotive styling world-over were the 1950s American cars! Fords had V8s and big round tail lights. Pontiac had chrome stripes. Oldsmobile had rockets, Cadillac had gold V's. Dodge had a ram's head. Buick had portholes. Plymouth had an old sailing ship, the kind the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock in. When you rode in those cars, you could turn your head 360 degrees and see everything. No baby restraints. Seat belts were a needless luxury. Instrument panels and steering wheels were breathtaking, and finished in beautiful chrome and colorful and clear Lucite plastic. Doors were safe and heavy. Only a drunk could get killed in one of those cars, they were so strong and well built. Seats were lavish and soft and comfortable, especially on a long trip. I remember sleeping on the 3rd seat and my brother on the middle seat in our station wagon, while we drove long hours into the night. When you stopped for gas or food, you didn't feel crushed into a ball when you got out of the car. Those were the best cars in the best times.

The Crown Vic was seen from 1992-6:05 to 2008-7:26. They were the most popular PD/HP cars because of room, trunk space, and speed of those Eras. The upgraded started in 1998-6:38 and those were a bigger hit then the 1992 ones. They are still a recommended car of CHP and LAPD so we are still seeing them today even though they were taken off the line in September 2011. This is because Ford Built so many that it was cheaper then ever to build one. They are also cars with Very long lives which is what PD/HP wanted for that Era.
