Police chase ambulance stolen from Dallas fire department

The driver of a stolen ambulance was taken into custody in the McKinney area on Monday afternoon after a chase that stretched across North Texas.
DPS and police officials ended the pursuit around 3 p.m. in the 500 block of Joyce Lane, hours after it started.

Because there was likely going to be possible gunfire. If you go to Chan. 5 news & watch their video it shows what happened. He had difficulty trying to run because he was having to hold onto his pants. There was no gunfire but he put up one helluva of a fight. He did it again once he was handcuffed & place in a squad car.

At that moment the officer reached for something with his left hand. I think it was his taser. Which he dropped. The gun was still in his right hand. That is when the suspect started running. @@samanthagomez7074 yes , the police force in the US is dominated by men and the amount of men in law enforcement is far more than the amount of female officers, in places that have female officers they quite often have to go to other departments nearby that need a female officers assistance in doing a body search of a female suspect but if there isn't any female officers then the males have to do everything and make sure that they have their bodycams running so the female suspect can't accuse them of sexual assault or the officers would take the individual to the jail and a female corrections officer would do the search.

Gross incompetence by the pursuing police, who made a couple of leisurely efforts to block the driver, but then settled back for another hour or so of tailgating.
