I just have to say how proud I am that the news helicopters help out with these pursuits, filming it and streaming it, showing our law enforcement at their best, going over all of the procedures that law enforcement takes and why. It also helps to show just how quickly and how easily law enforcement could lose control of a situation. I think the news needs to live cover these stories a lot more often. Law enforcement has been getting such a bad rap lately.

My first time visiting North Hollywood (from a small N.C.) city, we turn the tv on and I was thinking it was so crazy and my friend told me same as you said, happens all the time- and this was in 1998. That was first one, guy ran out gas- the spike strips got some of his tires, and he was still cruising. Some tires flat, riding on rims- sparks flying everywhere and it looked like ALL the police in L.A. following. Lasted over an hour. He did the same as these guys- ran for a bit, then did the faceplant drop. I'll never forget it.
