I worked in this job and it's extremely hard. You have to sleep in the van and you get home once a week. The trucks go like 20km/h uphill and downhill on the highway and the faster they move is at 70km/h. In Spain, a trip from Barcelona to Malaga takes about 3 days.

I was a bit surprised that the police were so involved because I usually see large loads escorted by private haulage companies. I guess this one was so big it needed more resources. Air Liquide is the biggest gas company in the world.

One thing I don't understand is that the RPU motor units are equipped with a D&R Electronics 21cm Road Alert Message board, but I never see them using it in this video. Especially with the motor unit(s) at the back of the convoy holding traffic back. You would think they would use it, but, yeah. I don't get why they didn't.
