( The Police encounter starts at 11min 25sec 11:25 ) but watch the whole video if you want to see the whole social experiment.
I will be adding PDF files on UK photography law and various police ACTS which they try to use to trick you into handing over your details. THIS IS MY PHOTOGRAPHY BIBLE ! Knowledge is power.
Well I decided to record a social experiment in Waterlooville town, UK where I walk around with my mobile phone recording anything I can see from a public place like Banks, jewelry shop and police station and then record the same areas using my Panasonic camcorder which is more noticeable.
I went back just to record a Police car going in or out of the station to use for the ending of my social experiment when these two constables tried to intimidate me into giving them my details under the terrorism act and then threatened to take my camera and phone.
Thanks to Bambuser live streaming and my knowledge of my rights and the law I kept them in check. The officer who was threatening me with arrest using the terrorism act couldn't even quote which act he was trying to use on me ! he basically didn't even know in my opinion. And even if he did want to arrest me under section 43 of the terrorism act 2000 then he would need to reasonably suspect me to be a terrorist.
Officers ONLY have the power to seize and retain any article found during a search under section 43 of the terrorism act 2000 which the officer reasonably suspects may constitute evidence that the person is a terrorist. Recording a police car from a public space does not make someone a terrorist !!!
Possibly PC 27036 and PC Morris 27552 but no name tags. And the UK police are about to get a pay rise because Teresa May decided to lift the 1% pay cap !!!!!
( If you want to be a chef then you better learn how to cook !!! )

This is one of my favourite Audit type videos. The fact that you don’t raise your voice and remain calm throughout, must have been such a slap to their ego it’s unreal. They absolutely detest it when their authority is tested by people not being intimidated. This is great stuff.

Well, here we have the nation's 2 stupidest puhlicemen and a very inarticulate auditor. The result is good though - those scumsuckers were shown up for the single brain celled idiots that they are, but I really wish that the auditors would wipe them out with one blow by being a bit more succinct with their comments.

What a stunning level of incompetence demonstrated by PC Morris, badge number 27552, of the UK police force. The following exchange occurs at 26:58 Cameraman: "Am I being detained?" PC Morris: "No. I mean, if you do leave, obviously we do have powers." Cameraman: "Are you going to use those powers if I leave then? Because you just said I'm not being detained so I'm free to go." PC Morris: "You're not being detained." Cameraman: "So am I free to go?" PC Morris: "And by all means, if you do leave, it does mean that we would be able to use powers to arrest you under grounds of suspicion of an offence." Cameraman: "What offense?" PC Morris: "My colleage is speaking to my sergeant for the moment." Cameraman: "So am I free to go?" PC Morris: "That's obviously your decision." Cameraman: "And I'm not being detained?" PC Morris: "That's obviously your decision." Cameraman: "And I'm free to leave?" PC Morris: shakes her head no. Cameraman: "Am I free to leave??" (repeats question) PC Morris: shakes her head no again. Cameraman: "What does that mean?" etc...

The only part that made the policewoman look bad is when he asked if he was being detained, and was he fee to leave and she made a face, but refused to answer. What she wants to get away with is , to detain someone without actually formally detaining them

I watch a lot of audits and this one is to my mind the best. Your way of talking is so calm and reasonable and producing the documents put them on clear notice of your intensions and also the limitations of their powers was a knockout blow. Unlike some other auditors you are calm and polite and respectful. This just highlights further the inadequacy of the police and their training. I think you were wise to livestream. I think that chastened them. Your video highlights police inadquacies and serves a useful purpose without being aggressive or obnoxious. Well done you and keep up this style please.

Absolutely poorly trained police officers who didn't have a clue even after talking to their Sargent who by the sounds of it also didn't have a clue. Even if he could quote the actual terrorism act he was trying to enforce and then arrested me under it then he would of been acting unlawfully and I would have sued the crap out of him. It was just a desperate attempt at extorting someones details from someone they decided was doing something they didn't like.

What a sorry bunch of uneducated cops they are. You did a very good job defending your right to film in a public space. That police station is YOUR police station and you paid for it. Even under the terrorist act, they still need to proof you've commited a crime or are about to commit a crime. And telling you you're not detained, but at the same time not telling you you're free to go is breaking the law. She's bending the law in front of your camera. I would file complaints against both officers.

@PINACI

Yes she absolutely did try to cherry pick from that photography law document I gave her, I had even highlighted the relevant sections using a highlighter pen but she chose to avoid that completely in order to try and twist what it said about photographing from private land needing the land owners permission. The section directly above that which was highlighted states that you can take pictures of public or private property as long as you are on public land. Bot officer were totally incompetent but she especially !
