Also isn’t this what living in a historic city like London is all about Pomp and circumstance… that silly man wittering on about going to work… pause for a minute and look at where you’re lucky to live! I'm sure we all have that one coworker that is always late and always blames it on the traffic, but when you tell them that they should leave the house a little bit earlier, you would have thought you insulted their mother. They just don't get it. Planning for traffic, weather, road conditions and other variables, is something we all should do as responsible adults. But they would rather blame other things than their not taking responsibility.

I'm probably warped by being an American, but sometimes as I watch these videos it seems to me that the police are way too polite. Interacting with tourists by using more authority and toughness might be a good thing. People will tend to take them more seriously then. And yes, American cops would have screamed at these tourists.

I've seen a lot of videos of American cops acting like they are all high and mighty and they achieve absolutely nothing until they pull their guns. In the UK police do not have to pull a gun to get the message across. A substantial part of the UK police force doesn't even have a gun.
