Could it possibly be related to the very publicized incident w the range rover family and a group of coincidentally black bikers / a semi biker gang? That coupled with the fact cops openly admit they can’t catch some bikes, why not block somebody in until you make sure they’re cool? I didn’t see anything ridiculous, they simply checked it out then got him off for a more normal stop. Sorry good bikers, but as long as some like to ride in big groups - well, most do that - but then also take advantage of the numbers to ignore all traffic laws, road rage, etc., with a vehicle that can take off in a place like NYC, I see no issue with taking that precaution. Perhaps *most* bikers don’t run, but it’s clear some do, who also tend to be the more reckless drivers. I only see cops getting stricter on bikes, it’ll keep happening unless the community polices itself, instead of this mob mentality of protecting the people making it worse for all.

As a retired 10 year officer. In 4:00 they didnt blip him, turn on there lights and/or safely roll up behind him and instead they have 2 unmarked cruisers roll up in front of the civilian and they had no official reason to pull the civilian over and/or touch any of his property (Keys to the motor vehicle) and give the civilian a proper discussion to let him know not to do it again and give him a warning

I would have drove off, no lights and they just pull up out of nowhere. They technically can’t pull me over and detain me without the lights and sure as hell not going to hear him shout too stop, if the put on there lights afterwards I will stop and in court will tell the judge how I felt unsafe see a regular car pull up out of nowhere with tinted windows so I fled out of safety.
