He was smart because he had installed hidden cameras around his home and the video showed her kicking and beating on his door but he never opened it. The boy was played in court and the charges were dismissed. She was pissed! The next thing to happen was she wouldn’t allow my brother his custody of their son. When he took her to court she found out she was going to lose all custody rights of their son she kidnapped him and left the country. It took the FBI and the State Department almost five years to find her and bring her back to the states to stand trial. Far too many men are victims of their ex wives.

Yes, and their heart rate and respiration never even rise above resting rate. Even when they bulldoze your fence and cut a hole into the side of the house for 'officer safety' because the guy across the street threatened to kill himself. And if you're lucky enough not to have had dozens of chemical weapons set off inside your house, they'll thank you on their way out the hole in your house and give you a card. That way you know the first number you can call to get put on hold and to call back during normal hours, then to tell you to call the city clerk for compensation for the demolishing of your house. If you raise too much of a fuss, they'll condemn your house and order you to fix the hole they cut in your house. If you can't get someone with a state license and state permit to repair your property, you may need to vacate your property. If not, you can be charged and arrested for not obeying. And that's one example of how the State can steal your home from you whenever they want. And if you are too upset about it, they can put you in a kennel until you behave in a manner which pleases the government.

A firearms/shotgun holder is more law abiding than the average citizen in my opinion. It is only the ignorance of people and police who have zero understanding of the disciplines/responsibility involved in having the privilege of possessing firearms/shotguns that fosters this negative public attitude. Over the decades I have owned many firearms and shotguns, but also been a police officer in Surrey and an NRA member for many years. Shooting at Bisley near where I lived for many years. I have seen the ignorance many have towards shooters and place us in the same category as criminals who use firearms/shotguns to break the law. I have overtime sold all my firearms and recently sold all my shotguns. Mainly because I find the actual Firearms licensing departments to be inept and in some cases lacking knowledge in the field they should understand. I could not stand having to deal with them when it came to renewing my licence/permit every four years so the guns had to go. It is a sad state of affairs that just because you enjoy shooting you should be persecuted for being a law abiding citizen just because of your hobby.

The reason for the 'emotionally temperamental' behaviour is that 'nature' is anticipating pregnancy which is repeatedly disappointed in the modern world.

100% on that👍 They use a policy called the Duluth Model. It was taken from an incident in Duluth, USA where police incompetence led to a woman being murdered by a partner or ex partner. They adopted a policy whereby all males involed in any domestic incident they attended was automatically arrested, even if there was no violence reported. The male could have been the one reporting but still got locked up. Thames Valley Police adopted the same policy after also failing a woman who was subsequently murdered. I have been on the recieving end of the Duluth Model at the hands of TVP, even though there was no violence. The Duluth Model was heavily pushed by rabid feminist lobby groups back in the early 2000's & the UK police willingly took it up.

Destroying the safes was totally un-necessary. All they had to do was ask him to open them. When they determined that his lying ex-wife was making another criminally liable accusation they should have returned his guns right then, right where they were, and arrested his ex for attempted murder by cop. That's what we're really talking about. Gin up the cops to the point they could kill him and take care of her problem. Women seem to never face consequences for their actions against men. Men often face the muzzle of a gun, sometimes many muzzles, tasers, etc. They did nothing wrong. He should get all his guns, ammo back and full custody of the kid. BTW, he should make sure it's his kid. He wouldn't be the first guy a woman lied about who the father is. She may know he's not the father. Just sayin'.

The sad thing about it is, it's usually good dads that it happens to, while it's the children that suffer most. I'm pretty sure his ex knew exactly what she was doing in making that allegation, not only denying him access to his child, but also taking away his hobby. A few years ago my ex-wife manipulated one of her relatives by telling her that I'd been running amok in the house brandishing my shotgun and rifle in a threatening manner. Of course, the relative was rightly (but incorrectly, as I abide by all of the rules around my FAC and s/g licenses) concerned and called the police. The first that I knew of it was when two of them turned up on the doorstep. The upshot was that I was given the choice of voluntarily surrendering the guns or having them removed. I chose the former, and to this day the guns are being stored, at my cost, at an RFD. In due course I received a letter from the police saying that I could retain my certificates and that I had done nothing wrong. To achieve a fair balance on the inevitable file that will exist, I too wrote a letter setting out my side of things. This prompted a phone call from the police firearms officer, but to be fair to him it was all sorted out. Except I can't have the guns back until I am "more settled" in terms of where I live. I regret not preempting the situation by moving the guns to the RFD - without my ex's knowledge. She would still have made the complaint and been actually proven to have made an unfounded allegation.

I grew up with my father shooting here and there. I've always wanted to get into shooting here, but it's the attitudes towards firearms owners from the police that thoroughly deter me. When I was younger, someone who was not a member of the police, but someone who identified themselves as part of a random inspection group made a visit to our house. My Dad was suffering from illness, and despite the secure storing of all firearms at all times, being unable to be accessed by me or anyone else other than the license owner. Despite this, this person removed all firearms from the property, having determined he was unfit to ensure the security of the firearms whilst he was unable to move upstairs to his locked cabinet, in a locked room for which the keys were on his person only at all times. For years, every effort was made to get these firearms back, but in the wake of the Raul Moat shootings, there was no chance whatsoever that North Yorkshire police would be understanding of the situation. No warrants, no warnings, no discussions. All removed by someone who was not a member of the Police, but instead a volunteer. More or less an ego boost to walk into the station with a 22lr bolt action and double barrelled shotgun as far as we could tell, from the disgusting and confrontational attitude from this random woman. With this, I'm sure you can understand I have absolutely no faith that even if I was able to start shooting, at some point the police will find a reason to take them from me, despite my obvious intention to be a legally registered and responsible firearms owner. But no, horror stories and my own experience has killed any form of motivation for me to get into it. Which of course will only make the community smaller. This will only get worse as time goes on unfortunately.

Any contact with Police places people at risk. PERIOD. There is zero nuance, no balance, no proportionate response and no logic. Any contact with a mentally ill person, someone with a personality disorder, a grudge, any allegation malicious, imaginary, results in an immediate removal of licensed firearms, knee jerk reactions. To be a Certificate Holder is to place oneself voluntarily upon a Police Register, treated worse than the S-X Offenders Register for having guns in addition to a P~~~S. Sometimes judges say no. Easier to just go take them by force, and make the owner jump thru expensive hoops to get them back. Like here in Canada, many times the police know full well they don't have a case against a firearm owner that they can win with in court. But political pressure is to make seizures and arrests, and try to bankrupt the firearm owner by letting the case drag thru the courts for years. It's known as "The punishment IS the process" here.

Ok, after a separation i was subjected to false allegations. The best thing to do in any of these cases is to surrender your firearms before to a RFD. That’s what I did and the RFD held my firearms free of charge whilst the police investigated. I knew what was coming as she had made threats about it previously. I now have all my firearms but not after having a full investigation and a battle to have my license reinstated. The main thing here that this person didn’t do, is to inform the police of such things like court orders etc. It says it on the declaration that any changes to your circumstances must be reported. He can now also file a defamation claim against his ex partner, the police can be sued for damages and for trespassing. I would have been reporting all this to the FLO in order to protect myself. Infact I did it the other day when my Ex had a massive bust up with my daughter and when I turned up started screaming that she had been a domestic abuse case previously because of me. I had logged my concerns prior to arriving at the property and had an officer on standby ready to attend. Main thing to remember.. cover your arse when dealing with ex partners. If you think they won’t escalate and talk BS then think again.

Pictures were shown of the damage done to the gun-safe, to me that looks nothing but OUTRIGHT VANDALISM ! If the police can turn up with a full kit of tools to BRUTE FORCE the gun-safe open (instead of using the keys, which are likely held by the actual police in London, as they had the guy in custody already).... so they didn't want to use the keys, which other police had possession of. Plus a locksmith would have cost, what about fifty UK pounds or approx $ 100, and he could have picked the locks open in less minutes than it took the police to vandalise and destroy a gun safe worth UK 500 pounds. If he succeeds in getting his firearms licence back, he will have to pay another 500 UK pounds of his own money to buy a new gun-safe. Also, why was the gun-safe actually removed and taken away ? Once the cops had brute forced it open and taken all the guns and ammunition, why did they take the damaged safe as well ? Is it illegal for someone without a valid firearms licence to have a damaged safe containing nothing but air, on their premises ? Outright vandalism and theft. Every cop involved should be sacked and lose all their accrued paid-pension entitlements. Here on the far side of the world, I have heard SO MUCH SHITE about the UK POOLICE targetting lawful firearms owners in the UK, that I think it's well time that UK police were removed entirely from the licencing system. Maybe have a whole new system of allowing Firearm's Dealers to approve licences ? Tell the Fuzz "Sorry mate, you've just gone too far, too often" and remove the UK Police from the firearms licencing system entirely.
