They at least can't use it as an excuse to stop you saying that they are checking compliance. Commercial Vehicle enforcement doesn't have the same burden of proof (probable cause) for a stop. A commercial vehicle can just be stopped to check for compliance. For a private citizen to be stopped there has to be probable cause a crime was committed or a "motor vehicle code" violation has occurred. As a former cop, who now sees both the good and bad in the profession, I love your channel and think you're awesome. Keep em honest.

Getting pulled over is never fun. I remember once when I was 16 or 17, I got pulled over in Newport Beach, California for driving an old car and stopping for gas late at night. The cop was polite and just curious about what I was doing there (I was driving one of my teachers home from the Emergency Room.), but had no cause to pull me over in the first place. They couldn't even get me on a curfew violation because I had an adult with me. Anyhoo, you handled the stop well and got back on your way without ticket. Well done!

Minority nuthin. The propagandists keep claiming it's about race, but the truth is, government over-reach and abuse effects all of us. THAT'S why they pretend it's about race, gender, religion, ect. It's classic divide and conquer. Keep you afraid and isolated, like all predators seek to separate prey from a herd. No lawyer will advise you to talk to police because it's always a bad idea. Doesn't matter what color you are. Statistically you are MORE likely to be killed in a police encounter if you are not a minority, and the vast majority of felony charges occur after traffic stops. You are wise not to trust them, but foolish to think being a minority is a risk-factor.

@@autonomouspublishingincorp8241 sorry. You don’t get to diminish a minority and his PERSONAL experience. There ABSOLUTELY such thing as racial profiling. There ABSOLUTELY statistics that confirm black and brown people get over policed. Its not up for debate at this point.
@autonomouspublishingincorp82412 жыл бұрын
@@karinaz8756 That's a skewed perspective on statistics. Stereotypes exist for a reason, and is not limited to any one demographic. No one should be judged by a stereotype, and the stereotypes themselves are worthy of mockery, but the reason profiling exists as an investigative tool is because it works. Profiling is the process of doing literally what you've done with your comment. They look at the generalities, see the correlations, and therefore make reasonable deductions. All people are subject to this. There is no data that even suggests otherwise. For eg. If a witness identifies a person of interest to be a white guy, it wouldn't be logical to search a neighborhood populated primarily of Asians. A person fits a description, they scrutinize the subject. To deny all people's culture just because some people in one culture feel like a particularly special snowflakes doesn't change that fact that correlations exist, and still do not equate causation.

@@TheZuk224 ...you are incorrect...if a state requires mud flaps it doesnt matter what state you are from . I visited my kids in Phoenix every other year and one year drove my lifted Jeep out there . After a couple of days I was picked up for no flaps...I said Ohio didnt require them...he said I wasnt in Ohio ...gave me a warning...since I planned on staying another week I threw a pair on it to avoid a ticket even though it looked like crap.

That was a BORDERLINE catastrophe. I'm shocked that mud flaps are another vector for "I believe I smell marijuana" during a traffic stop.

Paul, I'm a big fan, just wanted to suggest that keep all your papers in one place so you don't look like you're fumbling around looking for it. the cops look for your reaction to questions or statements. and if you have to smoke step outside your vehicle so even if you drop some ash it would be on the floor or the street. the cops are always looking for any excuse to hem you up. KEEP ON BREAD TRUCKING!

Paul, You might want to take down some of the videos of you smoking in your bread truck since you now will have three officers checking out your videos 😂 42 hours is great time for your trip. You must be exhausted.when you get a minute I definitely would wash down the Walls with Lysol or something 🙄

Won't do any good, the Marijuana they smell is located in their duty bag. If not for that camera they would have loaned him some. 3 POS Cops for mud flaps warning, really. He is now in the Arizona system and he will see them again. They own that bread truck and it's just a matter of time before they seize it. It would make a good stake out vehicle.

Wow. Biiiiiiiig mistake. I almost couldn't believe it when you admitted to having smoked weed in there. As much as people won't admit it, the trooper was actually nice about it. Also, close that damn door that leads to the back, man. As a mattet of fact, close ALL the doors. I don't know why people are so lazy and not get out of the seat to speak through the passenger window but instead ALLOW someone who's sole priority is to find a reason to escalate and arrest you, to hang their entire body inside the threshold of your habitation. It's unbelievable. Respectful advice. Good vids. Hope you enjoyed your stay here in AZ.

Doesn't matter what he admits it's not against the law to admit to doing drugs

I totally agree. He could have searched after he admitted smoking pot. I'm actually extremely surprised he didn't. I'm glad he didn't. But this could have and should have been avoided by keeping the door shut and communicating through the window, slightly cracked. That doesn't mean being rude. Keep it upbeat and pleasant. But make sure they know one intends to protect one's rights. That's not illegal, as much as a lot of cops want it to be.

@@slewofdamascus Before some states started making it legal, that cop could search. After that, he really can't. One can't be punished for doing something legal in another state when they were in said state. A faint lingering smell is no longer enough of a pretext when a proper explanation for it is given.
@slewofdamascus4 жыл бұрын
@@InfernosReaper that's not actually 100% accurate, for ex, some states will allow you to show them your insurance with your phone other states demand that you have the physical paper, if you come from a state that allows the phone insurance and you're in a state that doesn't you can be ticketed if you don't have the actual document in paper. New jersey, for ex, demands the physical paper doc. Another ex, guns. You have to follow the laws of the state you're in, not the state you legally reside in. People who RV have to research all the individual state gun laws before they bring their weapons in the RV, and i wouldn't travel without my self-defense weapons esp in an RV.
@InfernosReaper4 жыл бұрын
@@slewofdamascus Those rules you just mentioned have nothing to do with the *vehicle* itself, though. As for states not allowing the phone, that's stupid because they just look up the policy number on a database. That's why the phone substitute is a thing. If a cop's not allowing that, he's probably either incompetent, an asshole, or both. As for New Jersey, yeah, fuck that state. But, keep in mind that if it's locked up in a container other than the glove compartment, you're fine. Contrary to whatever bullshit they claim, they can't just search your vehicle. Also, you don't have to tell them you have anything because you could be unknowingly incriminating yourself. Too many people in this country are going down for stuff that probably shouldn't be a crime in the first place just because they don't know their rights.

@Rojo Zoso - Most police officers are trained to profile bumper stickers. Pro-police bumper stickers could seen as way to hide illegal activity and up making someone a bigger target by displaying one.
